Such a shame we didn't get one scene of Mehmed defending Hurrem like Mustafa defended Mahidevran or Mihrimah defending Hurrem from Sah and Hatice. That's the downside of portraying Mehmed like a naive idiot I suppose.

Because Hurrem never teaches them like that. No matter what happened, she will forbid them to interfere. Thats the difference between Hurrem and Mahidevran. Only Mihrimah started to support Hurrem later on cause she saw how badly they treated her mother. Mehmed knows about their rivalry but Hurrem never showed how badly it was. Thats why Mehmed never hold any grudges towards Mahidevran and in fact he was probably the only innocent person in the entire series lol

@Maiko_chan12 I stand by the fact Hurrem never teached them about the gravity of her rivalries is one of her parenting fails. It resulted in Mehmed being naive, Bayezid and Cihangir being on Mustafa's side rather than Hurrem's. Being innocent killed Mehmed too.

@@princess7jasmine I get what u meant but Hurrem doesn't need her sons to def nor supporting her because she herself can defended herself well and in fact shes better at the politic games than anyone. The princes can't interfere with the harem matter anyway and the main reason is she didn't want them to get into trouble if anything happened. Basically if her plans get exposed, it will be on her. Not her children. Also its not just hurrem's sons that are innocent but Mustafa is also the same. He thought if he became a sultan someday he wouldn't kill his brothers. He made an oath whatsoever but we all know it won't work. That's why Hurrem has to take down Mustafa even tho she herself didn't want it. It's unfortunate that mustafa is Mahidevran's son

I am annoyed here. His mother was crying everyday because she couldn't accept that Suleiman loved Hurrem. Bad parenting. Don't let your kids get involved in your disputes, prince or not. ppl say Hurrem is wicked but to me she did what she had to. It's almost as if all the Hurrem haters don't see Mahidevran, Hatice, valide, Ibrahim etc plotting and scheming and constant insulting Hurrem, literally try to kill her many times. What's worse they always behaved like they were entitled to the throne. Hurrem was truly loyal to Suleiman.

I am on your wavelength. I would definitely have to agree that Mahidevran, Hatice, Valide, Ibrahim, and everyone else who mistreated Hurrem are the real predators, even though they are all labelling her as one.
