Love the gas station story. I was in Hallandale Florids and had a guy in the drive through start with me. No way to back it down so I gave him a quick beating then told him to get back in his car so we can get a burger. Lol. 5 minutes later surrounded by cops. The cop asked me for i.d. and looked at it, then asked me if I was from courthouse road on the late 70s. This was 1992. I said yeah. Confused how he knew that. He told me to hang on. So 15 minutes later another cops comes back and tells me that hes sorry I was inconvenienced and I was free to go. Now I'm totally confused. I asked. Who was the cop that knew i lived on Courthouse Rd. As a kid. He told me the cops name and it was a kid from my neighborhood on the island. Respect! Amazing!

Mr. Franzese has warned, "You never know someone or their friends". He told the story of his friend Jerry, who made fun of a friend of a made guy. Mike had to expend effort to straighten it out. I would have made Jerry buy that new car. "I kept you out of trouble. You owe me a little something. Next time, treat everyone with respect. Nobody gets into trouble for being polite and respectful".

Michael Franzese I am curious how you would handle the young athletes who you have already paid money to play poorly and not beat the spread, if the coach benches him because he is not playing well and thus has no input on the outcome of a game, or his team plays well enough to beat the spread even though he played bad? He did his part but the results were not what you bet on.

Someone who picks on a woman deserves some grief. I'm not sure that putting them in the burn ward is necessary. Now if he smacked her? Well, sorry..... you don't raise hands to a woman for such trivialities. I'm reminded of a story from the God Father. Mike asks his Father how "How did you find a guy like Luca Brazi?". The Godfather explains that there are people out in the world who want to be hurt, to die. They go about saying "Kill me, kill me!". They pick fights over trivialities. The Godfather says, "I made Luca want me to kill him, I am the only one who could kill him. He is now content to be in my service." Mario Puzo was a very wise man. Me, I'd prefer a more placid life. I don't want to hurt people, I was once a weak man. I enjoyed hurting people. I want that evil banished from my life. If someone puts me back there I will be sad.

Oh yes. Its not the circumstances or the situation or anything like that. Its the MAN always the MAN that determines success or failure. What is within will eventually come out and shape a person's life. It not a coincidence that this guy was preparing to be a doctor before joining the mob. Its not an accident that a mob wife told agent Pistone that he had an air of intelligence about him. Mob life is mostly for people who are too dumb/violent/lazy for other things. That is also the reason why the mob slowly weakened after the 60s. It wasnt just law enforcement upping their game. The quality of the men coming in declined as higher quality italians were now less marginalized and could make serious money legitimately. Its not an accident that the most powerful criminal organizations in the USA now are all latinos. We are seeing a reapeat of history from a century ago. Only this time the new, poor kids on the block are from hispanic/portugeuse america.

Jesus chose Saul, a mass murderer of Christians to be one of his main messengers. He chose Matthew, a corrupt tax collector. He chose regular fishermen to be his followers. One day, while Jesus was sitting with these people, the high priest and other religious leaders asked Jesus why he was surrounding himself with such filth. Jesus responded " people that are well do not need a doctor. I came to save the sick and lost, not those who think they are already good enough". In fact, Jesus loves men like Mike, because he has clearly made a change in his life and given the details of his former life, he has made a dramatic change.

Mr Franzese, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your advice. I had made some mistakes as a young man growing up, and your honesty and all of your advice, has really helped me in making some decisions to get back on the right path. I understand what you went through as a child growing up in a very powerful family. I am the son of a father who was up in rank in a outlaw motorcycle club. I wish you and you're family nothing but happiness and good fortune, you are a man of integrity and I can't thank you enough for your advice.

Through Prophet Moses,we see miracles such as the seas being parted. And we see many such miracles from the other prophets too.Why are they not called god if they performed miracles, just like Jesus did?

You can't control that by yourself. I recently revisited the Seven Deadly Sins and Wrath is one of them. The one that plagues me most is Slothfulness - and I've found it goes deeper than laziness. It's a deficiency in Love. So, your battle is different than mine but we'd both be lost without the provision God made through His holy Son, Jesus. If you don't know Him, get to know Him. If you do know Him, get to know Him better. It's a process and He runs it.
