Yes and sad nowadays with callout culture. Micheal has to be apologectic and say i don't condone this behaviour. Everyone is looking to call you out on any innuendo. President Trump is the King when it comes to dealing with these hosers. I'm not sure exactly how he does it but it never effects him. I guess he takes it as people will always complain and so what. They are the hosers not me... anyway Trump revolutionized the way people are acountable. He is exempt when anyone else would be crusified in the media. Not that the media does not try but it just doesn't effect our great man like it does anyone else.

The stories the old man told us were so awful. I remember when I was about 5, I met Uncle Pro. Now I’m about the age of francese, I know who Pro was. The old man got out of the Colombo family, kinda. But he never got free of the. Mindset. He took us to Mass every Sunday but he never took communion... Don’t fall for the bravado with the gangs it will ruin you forever.

I've only experienced what I would consider complete hopelessness once in my life, and I believe it was in the presence of a demon which was at my house one night, but I can agree there is no worse feeling in the world. It was absolutely terrifying, no words can describe. All I could do was go into a room and start praying, and eventually the feeling subsided. I hope I never feel that again.

@@fellafreedom7210 I kind of think the two go hand in hand. Anytime I felt hopeless, there was always some kind of loss that came first. Both are so horribly painful.

Just like anyone respects a combat veteran who will admit he was scared before the thing happened, then when it happened, he didn't have time to think, just wanted to survive. I respect this man for admitting his doubts and fears and I am glad for him he found Christianity. Note that I'm Dutch, I'm just warning everyone never to look into Calvinism. I believe the saying "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" must have come from that branch of Protestantism. Also, I have got nothing but respect for Martin Luther, the man who started Protestantism by protesting against the worldiness and depravity of the Church or Rome.

I loved hearing your story! I can’t believe anyone could ever have the balls to call you weak or a coward for feeling hopeless after being placed in solitary confinement, and being told you’ll spend your life there and never see your wife in person again! I don’t care how tough anyone “thinks” they are, going through that will hurt you to your core. And anyone who has the nerve to say your weak for feeling that way, would probably be the first person to crack in that situation and would do anything to get out of it, probably sell their own mother to escape that. A man isn’t weak for having feelings. It’s what a man does as a result of those feelings that shows whether he’s strong or weak.

Wow. I gotta say I really needed to hear this. My story is by no means like yours but it really spoke to me. Being a victim of child abuse, adult abuse when I was crippled for a time, and a victim of depression. When I was crippled and unable to defend myself in a domestically violent relationship I felt hopeless. Because of my medical conditions and my financial abilities I was unable to leave and was three states away from my family because I moved to help my now ex with her mother after her father passed. At the time there were no red flags and when things started becoming violent I chalked it up to grief. Since then I have returned home but left behind everything in doing so and lived out of a suitcase for the first several months in my small apartment. It was by far one of the darkest times in my life and just felt hopeless. Now I am doing well, I have more good days than bad with my depression. I am rebuilding my life. I am no longer crippled and I have a good job. I am by no means where I want to be in life but I am a firm believer that you have to go through the bad things in life to appreciate the good. I know this by no means compares to what you went through but in hearing your story it really spoke to me and made me realize how lucky I am to be where I am today and that would have never happened I didn’t find some hope and realize that in order to keep going I had to give up everything and because of that I am thankful for everything in my life

I have a very close friend, and he recently got out of prison. I watched this guy do hard drugs, get involved with a very bad gang, rob an undercover police officer, get stabbed multiple time, and anything else you can think of he probably did it. When he got out of prison we were all concerned that he would go back to the gang again, because he had been in and out of jail and we would always think he was doing better but then we would find ourselves watching him get arrested again. This last time he got out of prison he had hit an all time low... lower than low. One day he connected with Christ. He really has seemed to have changed now. His baptism is actually on KZbin. I went back to my home city a few weeks ago and talked to him and I could literally feel that he was really a changed man. I could go on forever about this guy but I think you all get the point. I just wanted to tell a little of his story, because I know there are a lot of people out there that have their struggles as well. Michael Franzese is proof that ppl deserve a second chance after they’ve “paid their debt(s) to society.” We give up too easily on good ppl. Something tells me that if he had stuck w/his college pre-med program that he would’ve risen to the top of the medical profession or whatever profession he chose rather than helping his father.

That corrections officer was a messenger sent by God to Michael with very important messages to help him turn his life around. I did similar work myself when I was a Texas state corrections officer in prisons. I'd give the guys good life advice, listen to them when no one else would and be a positive role model for them. I let them understand that I truly cared about them, wanted to see them start making good decisions, turn their lives around and get a second chance at life.

God bless you sir. Mr Franzese the way you talk, the way you express yourself and transmit your messages is incredible. I love, enjoy and respect your stories and they are incredible but not only that... is the way you express them. The careful words you choose is what makes you and your life unique. Some stories are to be proud of and others, well... Maybe not that much. But the great result and reality is that all of them is what allows you to be here today transmitting to all of us what we need to know to be a better person and I thank you for that. Cheers!

@Judas Iscariot, Of course there is. I admit that I don't have all the knowledge in the world. A Christian says he doesn't just believe in God, he is positive that God does exist, the same with the atheist vice versa. The evidence to me points out that there is no god I admit. But then there's some things and questions in life that I just don't understand, and don't know, and I think religion is interesting. I can't prove a god but I can't disprove God either if I was in a debate, I keep it somewhat open. Neil DeGrease describes it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/eau2fnZrp7yppdU.

@Judas Iscariot Gnosis means knowledge of spiritual mysteries, Gnostic (derived from gnosis)means Someone who claims to have knowledge of spiritual mysteries (from direct experience). Agnostism is the counter claim stating that humans are incapable of knowing or experiencing spiritual mysteries, which is not the same as stating "i don't know if God exist".

I love this man’s testimony simply because it’s relatable. I was once in what I call “the abyss.” A place in the mind of hopelessness and despair where life becomes an afterthought. It was at that time that I pulled myself out of it and felt like I was spiritually attacked. I had to do all of the leg work to pull myself mentally and physically out of that hole I was in , BUT spiritually there was nothing I could do myself. I had to call on God. I didn’t even think it would actually work but it did. I’m a licensed counselor now and I try help people pull themselves out of that place as well. It’s a humbling experience and I’m thankful to God and myself for allowing all of this to take place and to be doing better than ever in a time where many are not. I had to rise to the occasion.

@Judas Iscariot You haven't been around then. In China sermons in churches have to be edited by the state and Christians are persecuted for their faith. I'm Indonesian and while I have many great Muslim friends we basically aren't able to hold important public positions because (from what I understand from the public debate) Muslims have to be led by Muslims. And from what I understand it's more appropriate to say the persecution complex is on atheists'/agnostics' side in the West. No other belief, including atheism, would've tolerated as well if they're constantly berated like Christians do in the West. Not only that, the places where atheists/agnostics are able to freely talk the most is the West, the place you claim you're persecuted in. Take any socialist country and see how they treat their theists.
