There is a rip floating around (or PM me) of a digital version of this song that they appeared to accidentally release to the first few people who downloaded the album just after people started getting the red tapes

Disassembled to attempt to fix it, then to try to modify it for "art" music, and then trashed the whole thing. Absolutely terrible

It was accidentally. If you do some searching you can find a pristine MP3 version, though it's clearly mastered for cassette (overbearing bass). PM me if you can't find it

To me, this seems to prove that the digital version that got leaked onto the internet was definitely accidental, and was a cassette mastered version. Listening to this version, there is no sign of the extremely loud overbearing bass which I'm 99% sure wasn't intended to be so bad (ie, I don't think they made an artistic decision with that). The bass of this song off of the cassette is perfect, where as digital it's overbearing... eh, just my 2 cents.
