I know Roger Avary, who co-wrote the screenplay, played this game once. He had nothing to do with its creation. I recall he was simply whelmed, not over, not under. And I think it was on PSP.

In the original poem, Beowulf breaks his weapons pretty easily and resorts to fists. I do not think that the creators of this game intended it, but that part is pretty accurate.

Man, all I remember about this movie is the extended fight scene where Beowulf was naked for some reason I don't remember and they had to come up with increasingly ridiculous ways to conceal his hog.

The explanation was "Grendel dosen't wear armor so I won't" what bugs me about that is Beowulf's underwear shouldn't have counted as "armor" he wasn't naked in the book

I really liked the Beowolf game. It was little too difficult at times and was very derivative of another game that deals with mythology but I still enjoyed it. I will point out that I really liked the movie so maybe that made me look at in a more positive light.

I remember finding this game at a discount store for $3. Played it once, hated it, brought it to GameStop and they gave me $20 for it USED. Went back to the discount store, bought every copy and sold them all to GameStop. Best deal ever

I would say that the games were really unique, that they really had work done and that they had a soul in some way!

The funny thing is, I had a project in my 8th-grade class where we read the story, and I loved it. Then we did a thing about researching it, I think. All I remember was seeing screenshots of the beast mom (forgot her real name, it's been 4 years) and going 'WTF?! THIS IS NOTHING LIKE WHAT IT SHOULD BE!' Thankfully some artistic work that actually looked like it was a real beast won the day during the google search. We did see a documentary on it that was pretty good, and then an animated film of it that was also good. the actual live-action movie? Never even mentioned, and probably for the best.
