Nobody wanted to rescue this DISASTER so I did it for FREE | Over 20 hours of work!

The homeowners who live here really needed some help with their overgrown yard. Both the mother and father are on a disability pension, unable to maintain their yard, and they just can't afford to pay anyone to clean it up! It was pretty obvious that they required help, and a yard like this is so difficult to transform, even for an able-bodied people. I knew the job was going to be hard, but I knocked on their door and offered to do the job for free. They were super happy for me to get it done, as you would expect. I ended up spending around 20 hours at this property and taking away 4 or 5 large box trailers of green waste and rubbish away. In this episode, there is everything from mowing, slashing (weed whacking), edging, pruning, rubbish removal and sweating, a lot of sweating! It really is a CRAZY transformation. Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.

A: I have never even seen a snake in over 4 years on the job.

A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.

A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of bins?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so now I work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. Currently, I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k on a good ride on mower.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride-on in there.
4. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering we always take the green waste away.
5. I will get one as soon as all of the above are solved.

What an incredible transformation!! I bet the homeowners are so happy with the results. Looks like several windows were covered with brush and grass so now they'll have sunlight coming in. I've never seen anyone tackle such tall grass with a push mower but you did it brilliantly!! I really enjoyed this compilation.

It was very kind that George did all this for free. After awhile, it’ll all grow back, so I hope the couple living there, can hire someone to cut their lawn again. It does look fantastic now. 😊

Tak teď jsem dokončila sledování tohoto videa a ne jedna slza mi ukápla na triko. Jste moc hodný člověk tam někde uvnitř vás, když jste se rozhodl pomoct lidem v nouzi. A že to bylo spoustu práce a potu je nad slunce jasné. Jenom toho sekání, kopání, řezání, odnášení odpadu sem a tam, ohýbání, trhání plevele a ještě dlouho bych mohla pokračovat. Myslím, že jste prožíval momenty, kdy by jste jel nejraději domů a hodil sebou na postel a jen tak dýchal? 🙂 Dlouho nezapomenu, když jsem si říkala, že ta zahrada už musí končit a ono nic. Od nízké (ale stejně vysoké) trávy k té vyšší, která zela do nebe jak obilí, tak téměř až k pralesu. A navíc jste poctivý perfekcionista, takže o to jste to měl těžší. Já bych měla záda pryč a zdraví asi taky. Moc a moc ti gratuluji a přeji ti Georgi hodně sil, trpělivosti a lásky, kterou oplýváš. Máš navždy můj like 🙂💯💯👍👍🌿

I know exactly how it goes as I did landscape gardening. Old cottages left to go Jungle. It’s a Labour of love to bring back a garden into being again. Putting your own ideas in the mix if the properties are empty, discovering what once was there and can be again. At one location I did a whole row of cottages after doing just the one. Only one was derelict they others had residents. It was my job so I did take a wage. I was the wage earner with many children. And these people were not struggling financially. Now I am retired. And loving it as I am now 70. 👍👍👍😃💗
