I had my first job and could not stand one manager. I just didn't like her because she always seemed to rub me the wrong way. Like i was new and so sometimes i would need help or need advice and whenever she helped me it would just come off as super condescending. I was a cashier and at the time of this story it was during one of the lunch or dinner rushes. I had a huge line and the printer paper for the recipes ran out on a customer. I asked them if they wanted their recipe and of course they said they do. So i went to the drawer to get more printer paper at my register and there was none. I looked at the one behind me and nicely askedone of the customers in my line to see if there was printer paper on the open shelf register in front of me. Theres no paper in my area, my line is all the way to the aisle and so i asked my bagger if she can ask one of the people at customer service if they have any printer paper. I figured its where we get our spare change and counterfeit pens so whats the chances of them having printer paper too? I dont think my bagger fully understood me so they just simply got one of the managers. She comes over and asks whats wrong and i say theres no printer paper. In front of every shes was like "So this is when you start looking through all the registers for printer paper" in a very condescending tone. By the way i was boxed in. It was very busy that day. She looked through all the registers and all the registers had none. I know my storu is not really that bad compared to others but she just irked me the wrong way the same way a teacher would. A month or two after that i was transferred to the new store i was hired for but i still had to come to this store because it was the closest store to my house.

I saw that I really hope they’re all doing okay! ❤ 😢 I’m going through it as well, I got laid off last month & it’s really tough. So I empathize with them if it’s anything job, health, mental health or just regular daily BS. Life is so tough recently. Can’t believe I made half of what I (most recently made) and my rent was only $900 & now to rent an apartment is like $2,000??? Groceries tripled etc. I wish everyone prosperity, health, wealth, happiness, energy & strength ❤

I remember working in the hospital (inpatient pharmacy) and techs really acted like they're were managers and micromanaged the living life out of everything. We had a technician who became a "learning development specialist" and thought she was management. She was chill as just a tech hit once she got that title change, she was always up the butt about how we did things. But everyone had a problem with her. She was in charge of making sure we had enough team members and made us aware of changes or call outs. If we were short, she HAD to come in and help but NEVER wanted to. Then she would talk smack about everyone complaining about doing extra. Like Miss ma'am nobody wants to stay extra, not even you so stfu. I was pregnant AF (like literally about to reach my due date) and she was making me do extra like I don't mind helping but I'm tired and about to POP like let me breathe. On top of that another coworker had beef with me because I was pregnant and that raised the heck out of my BP and I had to take leave early because my provider didn't want it to get to Preeclampsia levels. Thank God I left that job. I'd rather be at home and deal with my toddler because he at least acts more grown than these adults

May I ask what in the world a "learning development specialist" even is in the world of pharmacy tech? Lol. I too have been there done that with co workers taking their job too seriously. I worked admin for a home inspection company and I had one girl who would double check EVERY single thing I did, check my notes, eavesdrop on my calls and try to point out any possible mistake to my manager. Long story short she was in charge of environmental testing stuff and they ended up giving it to me and she got fired. That is the one thing about office work I can't stand!! Glad you got out with your health and are home with your little one 😊

I know right that was what I asked when they announced the new job title and let us all know that they were hiring a LDS 🤣 so basically she was in charge of orientation and training/appointing people to train new hires as well as being on top of call outs, being the extra hands for work that was getting overwhelming for the technicians. She thought she was management but she really wasn't 🤣 within weeks of her transitioning to that role everyone starting having problems with her. My doctor wrote a note saying I needed to limit the amount of time I was on my feet because I was having some high readings for my bp. So my high up was more than happy to make those changes and made sure Maida (imma use her real name but IDC lol) the learning the development specialist was aware of these changes and made sure she relayed that to those people who were getting moved around. Well one day a tech called out she didn't say anything. It wasn't until the big order that was suppose to go to the main ORs/Anesthesia and the childrens hospital etc, never got delivered. Turns out she knew this person called out THE NIGHT PRIOR and didn't think to send an email or come out of her damn office to tell the team and just said to me this is your responsibility. Excuse me miss ma'am, I have a DOCTOR'S NOTE saying I can't be on my feet that long maybe you should do your job and deliver the meds. The team pharmacist was SO pissed off he went to complain to HER higher up. She got penalized and she was pissed everyone told on her about what she said to me. She always was there when another coworker was beefing with me about my limitations and she didn't step in to defend me she just looked from the corner. Like you're in charge of the techs tame tf out of miss Abigail here before she catches these hands🤣😡 Me too I'm so happy. My old supervisor emailed me begging me to come back and I was like lol no thankssss.
