Dooood. I started using the DRMTLGY needless serum which is a copper peptide serum along with .25% tret at night and saame. When I wash my face it feels so smooth clear. A lot of the redness I used to get is gone. I use the every sun day sunscreen which is zinc and it makes my skin look perfect. @@lilluu7you’re not suppose to. Copper is very sensitive and will break down easily. We never know how much it worked if you use a serum that’s contraindicative. I am so glad that you got around to trying some of the Theramid range. I have been using a whole host of different products over the years (including tretinoin). But it was only when I introduced various Theramid products, that my skin really started to look good. The Theramid Ceramide Treatment has been THE product that has helped me to tolerate the tret. I can now put tret directly on my skin without buffering, as long as I follow it with a layer of the Theramid ceramide serum. ... and as for the Theramid Copper Peptide serum, I can report a similar, sudden improvement to the one you yourself have experienced. In fact, I think after much searching and the trying out of many different products, I feel I can finally settle as I have the perfect routine for my personal skin! Theramid has become part of my staples. Thanks Sarah for all that you do. I really appreciate watching your channel.

I use tret too and am not sure where to incorporate copper peptide serum. I use vitamin C serum in the morning, so ideally, I would use the copper peptide serum at night, but there are some controversy about whether to use it at the same time as Tretinoin. Thanks
@DRVenard6 ай бұрын
@littlesthepitbull The reason they caution against copper peptides with tretinoin is that copper peptides, the regular ones, not the encapsulated ones, can cause a flushing/blushing effect increasing blood flow and increasing the efficacy and side effects of the tretinoin. I've used them together, TO copper peptides and NIOD CAIS, (depending on which one I had) with tretinoin for years with no issue. Of course, I don't think I've blushed in years 😆😂🤣 If you're not having issues with tretinoin side effects, I should think you would be more than fine combining them in the evening routine. Hope this helped 🥰

@@DRVenard Thank you so much; that’s so helpful! Are TO & NIOD the encapsulated ones or not? It would be interesting to see how my skin responded as it does well on Tret without issue but the second I add a mineral sunscreen, it completely freaks out. I had terrible allergic reactions to the two mineral sunscreens. I tried and can only imagine that, unless I’m allergic to a specific ingredient (or zinc oxide/titanium dioxide which I understand is super rare), perhaps my skin is more sensitive now that I’m using. Tret? I used to use U.S. chemical sunscreen in a moisturizer (by Dermatology) prior to Tret with no issue. i’m not sure if it was you, but I think it might have been who reached out to me to answer this, on YT on someone else’s video or possible in a Reddit post? I have definitely experienced irritation with copper peptides. I believe from a combo of my tretinoin use, salicylic acid toner and my workplace, I work at a pool, so I get a lot of exposure to chlorine. The sensitivity lasted a few days. I usually use my Farmacy BHA toner morning and night, even with my tretinoin. It's very gentle in my experience and this is the first I've dealt with any sensitivity while using it. I forgot to ditch the toner with the copper peptides and it really kicked up the sensitivity. Then I encountered sensitivity after using copper peptides the morning after tret (.05%). I use it probably 4-5 nights a week so it's definitely more heavy use. I've never dealt with much sensitivity, I think I have very tolerant skin. The stronger Ordinary copper peptide definitely has a bigger kick to it and you really do have to be careful. I wasn't nearly as careful with actives while using a sample of peach and Lily's because I totally forgot, but I never had any sensitivity. I do absolutely think it's worth it, but I would definitely recommend using it very cautiously, like tretinoin.
@ScoobyDoosMom6 ай бұрын
Did I misunderstand or are you saying the Ordinarys 1% copper peptide serum is stronger than this Theramid 3%? I haven’t tried either, but wasn’t going to try the ordinary one as i’ve heard many complaints about the tackiness leaves on the skin and was leaning towards ordering this. Thanks for clarifying. I hope the irritation dies down for you. I certainly have been there. I tolerate tretinoin really well but ever since I started it, I’ve had major issues with sunscreen. I can’t wear mineral sunscreens, so I just ordered a bunch of chemical ones from overseas and I’m hoping to find one that doesn’t seriously irritate my skin. I never had sensitive skin before tretinoin and haven’t had any reactions to it, but once I put on the sunscreen, even before leaving the house, my skin looks like it has a red chemical burn. Really frustrating.
@gwendolinehall13866 ай бұрын
@@ScoobyDoosMom the ordinary's is stronger than peach and Lily's version. I found my skin to prefer the lighter percentage! It worked a lot better with my lifestyle (lots of chlorine exposure) and tretinoin (.05%) on other days. If you don't have sensitive skin or sensitizing lifestyle or strong retinols, it's probably worth going for one of the other brands that have a higher %, and I think they're both cheaper than peach and Lily's

@@gwendolinehall1386 thanks so much for the info and for writing. I’m on Tretinoin for almost 6 mos and about to increase to .05 from .025. I was avoiding Peach & Lily simply because of their built in fragrance & having being warned that this can be irritating to skin using Tret. I never considered myself to have sensitive skin (but I’m now in my young 50s so maybe my skin changed?). I’ve done really well on Tret but when I tried adding mineral sunscreen after going on Tret, my skin had allergic reactions to every one: it was BAD! I had to discontinue all my skin care because I had what felt like a chemical burn. (I had been on Tret for months and reaction happened very shortly after applying the mineral sunscreen and I use no other skin care so I have no doubt it was that . I also only wore it in the house, so it wasn’t from a reaction to the sun; it was a reaction to something in the sunscreen. I don’t know if I was allergic to a specific ingredient or to mineral sunscreens all together. I am waiting for some J&K beauty chemical sunscreens to arrive and hopefully my skin can tolerate those because I obviously need to be wearing SPF. I am homebound at the moment and try to stay away from windows until I can find a sunscreen my face can tolerate. From what I understand, the encapsulated copper peptides are safer/less risky to not work together, but I’m not sure how I know which are encapsulated unless I can find that out from the ingredient list. I’m guessing you haven’t tried the Theramid 3%? Copper Peptide (navy blue bottle). That was the one I was going to order. I’m not sure if the cops are encapsulated. Trying to find ones that are, as well as one with snap 8, is becoming a real pain,

Did you notice a difference between the XL and normal version? In the reviews on the website people claim that the XL version is a light lilac and not a dark blue like the original one. Theramid claims that doesn't effect it's efficacy but at the same time in the small print it says: "Due to our constant striving for innovation and the availability of raw materials due to the current situation, there may be slight changes in the percentages and/or nomenclature of the ingredients, so the INCIs may vary depending on the production batch." Sounds fishy, don't you think?

@@NOBSBeauty That's good to know, thank you. I just had to think of it as currently there's a little "scandal" in the German skincare community. And of course the companies are all saying they didn't know of anything and the supplier tricked them lol.

I can’t find in product description, whether the copper peptides in this, are encapsulated. If they are, I’m less worried about layering it with Tretinoin. Have you used this at night with Altreno? It sounds like you don’t mix them, and I think you may not be using your Tret while you’re testing out the remedy for dark spots. I was so excited to use Remedy for dark spots until I saw it had retinol in it, and they are recommending alternate days with your Tretinoin. If I have to alternate days with that, copper, peptides, and my AHA/BHA peel pads. I would never get to use my tretinoin. 😂At that point, I have to choose what’s the most important. I would really like to try this & Remedy for dark spots but only so many days in the week.

I just found out some very scary information about Theramid’s copper peptides from a fellow KZbinr who wanted to try it. It’s been a while since I watched this video so you may mention it as an ingredient; I don’t remember. It contains EDTA which I had to look up as I never heard of it. It is used to keep blood from clotting. Serious side effects that have been reported include low blood sugar, diminished calcium levels, headache, nausea, dangerously low blood pressure, kidney failure, organ damage, irregular heartbeat, seizures, or even death. I didn’t even know what this was so I had to look it up, but apparently it has some extremely serious side effects in people that are allergic to it, including low blood sugar, diminished calcium levels, headache, nausea, dangerously low blood pressure, kidney failure, organ damage, irregular heartbeat, seizures, or even death. Pretty scary stuff. With those types of potential side effects, you would think it would come with a black box warning?

Hello 👋 Where did you get this information? EDTA is found in a huge amount of high-quality cosmetic products and is dangerous only when taken orally and in very-very-very large doses. It is an antioxidant/preservative and chelating agent with low toxicity. It helps the ingredients penetrate into the skin. Overall, EDTA - it is a pretty large molecule that remains on the surface of the skin. By the way, EDTA is also present in a number of food additives…

I realize it’s only been three months since I posted, but a lot has gone on in my life since then, so I apologize my memory isn’t great. I would say do whatever is comfortable for you. I was just trying to pass along some information, but certainly not scare anyone.

@@ScoobyDoosMom Thank you so much for your answer 🙌 Unfortunately, even authoritative bloggers do not always have a good understanding of the issue... I myself constantly encounter such content, which is often simply saturated with phobia due to one or two formulations they saw in dubious articles, but they have already brought it out for millions subscribers… In matters of ingredients, I personally always rely on the conclusions of national commissions, real studies that can be found in scientific journals and the opinions of scientists, chemical engineers, biologists, practicing doctors ... I'm a little too meticulous about these matters 🙈 and I understand of course that, unfortunately, such collection of information takes quite a lot of time 😟 we, as consumers, are not particularly protected today, and there are few truly conscientious manufacturers… so i completely understand your concerns 🙌 I would also like to note that you can be quite calm with cosmetics that are produced in Western Europe. There are a lot of restrictions here, which - on the one hand - is good, because strictly regulates manufacturers; on the other hand - for me personally, this is a minus, since many effective products with ultra-modern ingredients are often simply unavailable on the European market (but are, for example, on the US and Asian markets)… I wish you all the best and really hope that you have found or will find the most effective cosmetic products with ingredients that you will be 100% confident in 🫶

how does this compare to the discontinued hylamide Sub q?
@NOBSBeauty Жыл бұрын
Interesting question- the Sub Q was holy grail for so many people. I liked it but could only use it occasionally without my skin starting to get irritated. I think that might have been from the salicylic acid in the SubQ. The subq is definitely much thinner in texture. I think a major difference is the inclusion of copper peptides in the Theramid. Here's an ingredient breakdown between the two products you will find interesting: incidecoder.com/compare-products/niche-beauty-lab-theramid-copper-peptide-4/hylamide-subq-anti-age-advanced-serum

@@NOBSBeauty thanks! I still have some bottles left but im trying to prepare.. it really works well for me. I like the texture a lot too. I wonder if the Niod serum with the initials in the title is close.

I purchased this product after watching this review and I have it on my face right now. I wish I could take a picture and upload I use a lot of skin care and the texture of this product is very odd. I don’t even know how to explain it and it definitely doesn’t feel like it’s sinking into my skin. It just feels like it’s sitting on top. My face is also discolored lol I have blue spots everywhere lol it looks like my face is dirty, I tried rubbing in this product and it’s not really doing anything but just moving around. It’s very strange. I don’t know what to make of this. This is my first time using it though I will try again later and see how it goes.

Idk if you ever figured it out but I use a hydrating facial mist right before applying! I notice it does way better on slightly damp skin. It’s perfect now!

Ascorbic acid has shown to have a reservoir in MICE skin. Not human skin to my understanding. If you have a study showing ascorbic acids reservoir in HUMAN skin, please post. Thanks !

Niche azalaic acid is 15 percent, which you can't find uyn the US. Nice.
@NOBSBeauty Жыл бұрын
Very good point, you're right, the US limits it to 10%. I've had good luck with anywhere from 10 up to 20. I think the higher percentage seems to help a bit more with my redness.
