Can you do a video about the Ordinary peptides? They’re cheap and I feel like it’s one of the only ones on the market where you know what you’re getting, a lot of products that have peptides on the label have like 1-2 peptides and often at the bottom of the ingredients list so it’s hard to know if it’s in a high enough concentration to actually do anything and not just a marketing tactic. Love all your videos :)

Argireline: Acetyl hexapeptide-8 (argireline) didn't do much for my skin as an ingredient in other serums, buuuuuut when I added the Argireline serum from The Ordinary to my routine I noticed a HUGE difference in my expression lines! It's not botox, but it does work for me! (Plus, it's less than $10.) You are correct that it doesn't last, because if I miss three day I suddenly look 5 years older.😆 Matrixyl: IDK about some of their anti-aging claims, but the Matrixyl serums from Timeless are some of the most hydrating, plumping products I've tried. There also many other groups of peptides: brightening, soothing/redness reducing, moisturizing (increasing natural HA production), protecting from dna damage by sun, antioxidant peptides, increasing fat deposits/fullness in skin etc. There are biomimetic peptides which are recombinant growth factors. Good serum with right concentration of right peptides makes my botox last 2-3 months longer. There are only 2-3 good ones and they are expensive.

You’re an Angel and I appreciate your videos! Call it whatever you want, anti wrinkle, anti-aging, pro-healthy skin, whatever - it still seems weird (to me) for a 30-something young woman (not you because I know you’ll just order it or have it at your medical office) at the cosmetics counter to be buying an anti-wrinkle eye cream, but at age 59, the word anti-aging means more like “looking like I feel”. And, despite the rumors, people have always lived longer than the textbooks say the human lifespan or average age that people lived to. Poor women died in childbirth. Many babies didn’t survive past the first few years. People died in farm accidents and wars. If people look back at their own ancestry, you’ll find many more people who lived beyond their 80’s. Anyway. I just wanted to say that. It bothers me that people think humans aren’t meant to live past 70 or that we’re supposed to die once we’re infertile. That’s just nonsense.

Great informative video as always. But I am confused with 2 bits of info. Around 12:01 she said Kiehl’s is 0.1% retinol which is strong for OTC. Because OTC are usually 0.03, 0.05, and then 0.1. But I remember Loreal, skinceuticals, Paula’s Choice have 0.3%, 0.5%, 1% etc retinols. What am I missing here? Is it just that she misspoke the decimals? Second, around 14:01 she said something like that “if retinol is too strong, go for retinal”. Isn’t retinaldehyde more potent than retinol and thus supposed to be more irritating? Again, what am I missing here?

I read some research that topical argireline could help extend the duration of action of Botox injections for bletharospasm, so I wondered if that could work for migraines too. Normally I need to pay for my Botox injections every 4-6 months - so even extending a few weeks for using a product less than £10 a month could be worth it. I'm now at 6 months and my Botox is still going strong at reducing my migraines so hoping for 6-7months. I know it won't fully replace injections but it is worth it.

Thanks for the video! I have been recommended copper peptides for my vitiligo so I have been looking up information on peptides and copper.

I would like an update on new peptides like matrixyl morphonics. Do orange blossom peptides do anything? What are the best peptides for very mature skin on face and neck.

Thank you once again for the great educative content. The only thing I was confused with was that Kiehl's retinol micro-dose serum contains 0.1% of pure retinol - pretty low percentage as the highest one is considered to be 1% (?) I'd love to know what's your take on copper peptides (GHK-Cu), as I have a very good experience with CAIS3 Niod serum, and sh-peptides or EGF that are considered quite controversial for the lack of studies and if they are mitogenic or not. Again thanks so much for the great videos and best of luck in everything that you do! :)

Yes, I think she was very tired when making this video so got confused with the percentages, indeed this serums seems to have a very low retinol percentage. She is still my favorite derm on KZbin, live her content!!!!!

Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced binding enhancement technology which produces a water molecule that hydrates skin and hair. It repairs, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.

I wish I could come to see you but I live to far away. I think I will go to see a local dermatologist! Thanks for all the information you give us.
