My father contracted Norcidia about 20 years ago. He started having sezeries and a CT scan was preformed. At the time his surgeon told my mother that because he had cerberal palsey it was eaisier to infect the brain and the only 2 cases he has took on lead to death. My dad was the first for this doctor to live but not without 5 brain surgeries to remove the lesions. At that time there wasn't much information on nocardia. I am interested in how technology has advanced and the procedures to fight this infection.
