Makes my old Trail picture look rubbish, it has been absolutely bullet proof though, a proper work horse. Can't say the same about the HIK alpex I have, two A50 T's and a 4K. All three have been problematic and glitchy. I need a thermal that will fit in my Vorn back back, the Trail won't. Going by your test Mr Blackwood, Think I'll go ACE. Just the comparison test I've been waiting for, will be in touch. Thank you.

I have both and agree with you. I think the Stellar is a tiny bit sharper but its hardly noticeable. But I really like the optical zoom feature on the NocPix. Oh and Ian I sent you an email regarding the ACE on the 20th November. Please let me know, G Jones

Interesting the Ace's 3x mag' 'appears' very slightly greater than the Stellar's 3.6x? 🤔 Did both scopes measure the same range to a static object on the night, and do both record audio with videos? (not asking for a friend). 🤓 Cheers. Russ Ps. Hmm no length or weight specs on either scope on your website, if I could (somehow) afford either it might come down to which was less unwieldy, for field portability? ...although despite being the same price the Ace does look to have more features.

@@RussDouglas222 Both video files set at the exact same scale , if you look it’s like the Ace uses a bit more of the screen for the image and icons are more compacted together in the display so allows more real estate …

@@RussDouglas222 The ACE is 1120g (assume without external 18650) and 365mm long, Stellar is lighter at 860g (without external 18650 fitted) but is longer at 423mm.

Try to get 95 % humidity and show magnif. step by step till maximum. Only then we can compare something real. Also less faces and more diplays! You can comment behind. Also need to play with sharpness setup in nocpix or both and than compare on 10 and...20 magnification to see real detalisation!
