Remember, remember. The 4th of November. Blender, plugins still hot; for there is a reason why cubes and nodes should ne'er be forgot.

Why is geometry nodes so foreign to me, I genuinely don’t understand how you know what nodes to use especially the math nodes…gotta be black magic

Just start with a few low level tutorials. Like with anything, you start with the simplest tools and then work your way up. As far as the math goes... He's a math dude. That's just his thing. I'm pretty sure it was the focus of his schooling and he has also taught and tutored. I really geek out on his math stuff all the time and have [re]learned so much from him that I'd forgotten or never learned in my schooling.

It is definitely black magic anyway I was the same way, but one day I decided to change that and finally watched his geo nodes tutorial series, I'm still not nearly as good as him (and learning Trigonometry could help with that) but I am no stranger to geo nodes anymore, it's worth it this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJbVe6Gfq9t1pJYsi=EHDPFey1X2EdCuZy

Takes a while for the procedural stuff to click. You'll spend like 1.5 years just following tutorials with a headache and never be able to do anything by yourself then one day things magically click and you can actually make a small thing. then its just learning different techniques from others and bringing it into your own mental toolkit.

@@yusrighouse, this makes the journey seem less daunting, I hope it will click eventually. I’ll keep racking my brain with these tutorials in the meantime thanks
