There's a few reasons, but we've debated whether 5 pods per week in one feed is too many episodes for most people. The working theory is less is more. (As in, average downloads per ep. might go up - an important metric.) Anyway, we're just testing it out. We'll see. Appreciate the support. - JE

The Mavs-Bos game after the trade deadline,Kidd used THJ a lot with 20 mins as opposed to Jones Jr with 7. Gafford played only 5 mins! This will be a factor. Plus going in to the playoffs the roles in the Mavs team are much more on point.

The Boston guards couldn't stop Nembhard and McConnell, but they are going to shut down Kyrie Irving. I'm not buying it good offense still beats good defense. Everyone claims they are going to guard Luka one on one and that they have like 4 different guys who can guard him when in reality they all have none number of guys who can guard him and they all end up having to double him at some point.

DVD PLAYERS! Im 35 (in my prime :D) - but i also have a hefty collection of DVDs.... was thinking about what to do with tthem/if i will ever watch them ever again given we live in a streaming world! However - i literally went to Re-watch Game of thrones the other day as its been several years since ive seen it and thought it give it another whirl and my only DVD player does not work and its not available on any of the streaming platforms im subscribed to (based in UK). Now debating buying a new DVD players just to re-watch one show 🤣 - #firstworldproblems!

Another little reminder is that the only guys to keep up with Luka and beat him in a playoff series so far are Kawhi and Curry. Both guys who had already been multiple time champions and finals MVP. He has never lost to someone who is younger or close to his age including against Booker and another 64 win overall seed that no one including you guys gave them any chance of beating.

Luka will get his championship, but I don't think it's this year. I think this Celtics team from the 82 regular season to the playoffs has given me a similar feeling to last year Nuggets: just from players to coaches, all on the right page, all having the perfect chemistry. If there is a basketball god, I think he will reward this title to Boston for all the works they put on and all the great games' quality they have shown. Even though I'm not a Celtics fan, I am rooting for the Celtics to get this title, I think they are the most deserving team this season. Celtics in 6.

Will Kyrie regress to the mean? He went fuego during the Minnesota series. At some point he will come down to earth. If Porzingis plays, he will open up the lanes for the Celtics perimeter players. I'm more worried about the poise of Tatum and Brown. When they regress to their former selves they will be more easily defended. If they play with pace and keep attacking the rim, Boston will pressure the Dallas defense. They should also do their best to defend home court in the first two games.

Mavs in 6 or 7. Porzingis and Holiday are not enough of a difference-maker, and besides - the main X factor for Boston is Jalen Brown - who's got nothing to point to that puts him over Kyrie. Tatum doesn't own big moments half as well as Luka does. This Mavs squad might be the most potent 5 seed I can think of in 4+ decades of watching the NBA; certainly the best since the Rockets went all the way from a 6 seed.

lol, this is (almost) the best comment in here. If the series is lopsided then Boston probably WILL get at least a game fudged in their favor on account of their history and the league needing to maintain some semblance/illusion of conference parity. I said "LOPSIDED" because The Leastern Conference has never been more obviously deficient, at least since LeBron was in it. It's a much **MUCH** easier path having to only play West teams 2x a year and getting to play a slew of under-.500 East teams 4x a year.

As Mav/Luka fan I have watched and cheared for porzingis. Beside being out most of the time... He does not like the physical stuff of a center role. He will be a non factor inside the paint. However if his shot is falling het might help the Celtics to one win.

Cmon let’s be real.. no one can guard Luka or Kyrie. but i think this series comes down to depth. a lot of ppl in the media have been pushing this narrative that Boston is deeper, but i feel like the Mavs is the deeper team with great contributions coming from the bench. Peyton pritchard is a decent role player but who else can Boston lean towards if need be? Sam Houser? idk man lol granted KP is coming back right on time for Boston. If the Celtics are 'by far' the best then how did they lose (blown out severely in their own building by the Clippers, in fact) to both L.A. teams at home this year in the same week? The 'no Porzingis' excuse doesn't hold either, as Zubac was out that game, and the Clippers had just played a b2b the night before in Toronto - so double the embarrassment. The Celtics didn't even get 50 points until 3 minutes were left in 3rd quarter that night.

Dallas comes in with momentum and confidence. Boston hasn't been challenged very hard in the playoffs yet. Stepping up on intensity and getting Porzingis back in the rotation will take a couple of games, and this series won't be that forgiving. Mavericks in 5.

Bc it’s not accurate. Defensive stats don’t mean much. Steph curry has led the league in steals multiple times. Doesn’t make him an elite defender just means other teams are targeting him giving him more opportunities to pick up defensive stats. You're incorrect about luka but your philosophy is correct good defense doesn't always show up on the stat sheet that's valid and also there's different types of defenders And many don't represent their actual ability on the stat sheet. He actually does a lot of decent defense that doesn't show up on the stat sheet playing smart team defense. There's an element of subjectivity with regards to critiquing defense. Furthermore there's also the fact all we can do is speculate because we don't know what schemes they're running we don't know who's at fault or who should get the praise for certain plays bc were not privy to the precise plays or theories being dictated by the coaches. That said some elements are objective or give strong indiication for speculation, look up Lukas stats as primary defender and quit watching the biased pundits at espn

This is one final i can't pick a team to support due to my team being out. I think it is probably the only time i am rooting against a team due to the coach. Joe Masula rubs me the wrong way. I've never seen him smile or have any emotion other than be a psycho. The guy uses a challenge in the 4th up by 25 to prove to his players he has their back.
