A great time to be alive in 1996 for the gig.

Looking back at their bizarre success is unreal. The funniest thing is the American music/media industry nervously sat out because the Gallagher's weren't groomable for US standards. Oasis would never be Coldplay. How can a band which draws 4% of a nations populace and sells out in every other nation on Earth not fit for comparison to The Beatles however? This band never got it's props. Oasis are shamefully written off in the States as one hit wonders when in fact, they're as important as The Stones and The Sex Pistols. Nirvana and Oasis were the 90's.

I love their music but I don't like the Gallagher's. They made negative comments about American's and then wondered why no one was excited about them coming to America. I went to their concert in SF at BGCA in 1996, the music was great Liam was an ass. I still love the music and feel the same about the Gallagher's. UK can keep them, we'll keep the music.

Well, thank you. My friend took it after I had my hair cut, that is why I am "hamming it up" a bit.

The pic is about 4 years old. I still look the same but my hair is longer (shoulder length). I'm from the Boston area, lived in San Francisco for awhile and then moved back to Boston. Hey, I love the Real People, aren't they from Liverpool?

Don't know Cast but really like the La's. I have a friend Anne from Liverpool who introduced me to the Real People after she heard I liked Oasis. She told me they were the original Oasis :-)

I am not as familiar with them but I have heard a few of their songs and I know Liam was a big fan.

I was there and yes it was good. . But the prodigy topped oasis stage presence and crowd participation wise. They were sick and had the whole crowd bouncing. . Very good time of my life that weekend was 😁

Who goes to Oasis expecting stage presence and crowd participation. Part of the charm was they just stood there and played
