Today is Serbian ( Ortodox- Christian ) New year, and I just wanted to hear this song before I go to bed, and at the very moment I played it, I got the only phone greeting message. It was 'Johnny the shoemaker' typing 'HNY' . Doesn't matter, just wanna remember this moment...I was angry and sad before it...but now I know I'm happy. Thanx Johnny...!.

NOFX is just awesome, period. People piss me off by saying they're not talented. Try listening to "New Boobs", or "Shut Up Already"...then tell me they're not talented. Also...to the people who say they're not punk: Since when has punk had rules? In my opinion, punk it open to interpretation...it's whatever you want it to be.
@randymeeks8113 жыл бұрын
@ZenLightningDotNet Fat Mike once said "Punk rock is great music played by bad, drunk musicians". i don't think NOFX gives themselves enough credit, they are indeed one the best punk bands ever. they live the ideal of punk rock: say what you want to say, and play fast as fuck!

One of my favorite bands. The crowd was pretty mellow(probably because it is some sort of fest). If you ever see them stay away from the front unless you want to die from suffocation. NOFX are not about being a stellar musical ensemble... they are entertainment and political messages. Think about it this way... probably not every movie you watch is Grammy-award winning worthy. As far as the "Ya! Jerry is dead" stuff... if you know NOFX you wouldn't even take it seriously.

Yeah, that's why they're one of the most successful independent bands ever. They sure as hell make more money than the Dead ever did(not to knock the Dead). They also managed to do it without being fucked by agents, record companies, or MTV. So, feel free to make the comments about playing small venues, because in actuality they really don't have to, they prefer to.

Interesting. Cool Johnny Appleseed song (there's not many) When I am writing a new script I always look around, and do as much research as I can to see where the character exists in both historical, and pop culture. Johnny Appleseed might be my next project, but I might also decide to do a vampire. mermaid, or some other mutant instead. We'll see. Coming 2018

@jaked316 Punk is dead, in the sense that it was a time and place. it sucks that modern culture has become so conformed that a movement like Punk (and to a similar extent, Hippies) will never occur again. the closest thing we've had is Rap music crossing over into mainstream music, but modern wannabe punks like myself will never conform to that crap.
