The International Judo Federation should recognize a No Gi Judo Competitive category just like BJJ. It would modernize Judo and make it more practical.
@abbisgm34532 жыл бұрын
That would be awesome you know Bjj was born from judo and it was applied only on the ground smooth move and their own rules but judo is the same when it comes to ne waza but you know fast aggressive explosive that would be awesome to watch.

Judo is already practical and it doesn't need no gi . If one wants to practice no gi fighting one should attend wrestling bouts, bjj no gi, mma,etc. Judo is jiu-jitsu and it's done the kano way.
@irsh27862 жыл бұрын
@@markdaniels4178 no you are completely wrong. First it can be an interesting way to practice it and maybe pull future Judokas, second if you have to defend yourself in the street with Judo against someone who is in t-shirt what will you do? What's the point of training to fight if you don't know how to use Judo in fights?

Very good, now one question is, is there a footlock in Judo? I ask this, because I didn't see any technique like that in this video.

These are my own interpretations of how traditional judo techniques could be done in no-gi.

I’m not sure it has a name! It’s not really a favourable position in judo so it it may not have an official name. However if you do hear one, please let me know!

Pins were excellent, the chokes I give a C+ to, they were missing some details. Ukes head has to be more to the side, and it looked like some trachea pressure was applied, maybe I'm being too much a perfectionist according to the kata. The little twitch of the blade of the forearm in Hadaka-jime and Toris head pushing forward , after a small scoop back is taken, while Uke is turned slightly, is the killer Hadaka.
