one of my fave things about Violet is that altho she was framed as the first "future of drag prodigy" winner of Drag Race, what with the young fashion queens vs older pageant queens storyline of Season 7, she clearly has a ton of reverence for old school glamor drag. Violet loves queens like Shannel that serve the feminine fantasy and grande dame attitude. she's also usually thought of as more of a visual artist than a performer because she's so involved with the fashion world and never had a true lip sync on TV, but Violet obv has studied and greatly respects what we now consider the "older" performance styles of drag and burlesque, which emphasized timing and stage presence

@@surgeryfreak I did enjoy it! I really liked it! It was definitely better than X but not better than Pearl. 1) Pearl 2) MaXXXine 3) X . I loved all the 80s references (I’m a 90s babe but I love past eras too) I enjoyed all the backlot scenes especially the ones at Universal. I liked all the Hollywood blvd scenes etc. It was entertaining and I never got bored so yeah thanks again for the recommendation I understand why you said what you said because of all of Maxine’s flashbacks to X. It was a fun ride!! 🎞️
