Fried Rice Air Fryer - AirFryer Recipes - Tefal Actifry

I made this Fried Rice Using my Air Fryer. I was inspired to make this Fried Rice by Diane (The Air Fryer Queen) over at Booger500us. She made Fried Rice on her channel, and I figured that I had to give it a try. Below is a list of the ingredients I used and a few tips for making Chinese Fried Rice in the Tefal Actifry AirFryer.
Ingredients for my Shrimp Fried Rice:
*Rice (Day old and chilled)
*Jumbo Shrimp Cut in thirds leaving a few whole for presentation, or smaller whole shrimp may be used.
*Cornstarch to lightly coat shrimp
*Salt and pepper to season shrimp
*thinly sliced carrots (frozen may be used)
*Frozen peas
*Thinly sliced green onions
*Soy Sauce
*Tsang's stirfry oil (Sesame oil can replace this entirely)
*Sesame oil
Tips:
*Get the actifry hot before adding the shrimp and the rice.
*Use rice that has had a chance to completely cool. Next day is best
* Do not use the paddle in this recipe. The rice can become over stirred (in my opinion)
If you prefer Chicken Fried Rice, just substitute chicken thighs for the shrimp.

I just made sweet potato frys with a pad of butter and when they were out on the tray Sprinkle them with fresh cinnamon and boy were they great I just got my active fry today I got the small one

Great video but may aswell just fry in a frying pan the whole point of an air fryer is you don’t need to use oil but you used loads of oil great video thou great idea I’d never thought of using ours for such cooking great stuff

I dont always look at my air fryer as a way to cut down on oil. Sometimes I just use regular amounts of oil in it. Sometimes none. I have a garlic salmon recipe that I added more oil to it as well. I try not to limit myself to what the product was intended for

That looks soo good! Why did you put cornstarch on the shrimp? Also, is using an air fryer more healthy than traditional frying?

The starch gives a slight crunch to the shrimp. I didnt add a lot, but you can actually fry shrimp with cornstarch. The airfryer is a lot more healthy than deep frying because so little oil can be used

Over stirring fried rice can break the starch down causing it to become gummy possibly.

thats too much oil....the point of the actifry is 1 table spoon and you put like ALOT more than that.... just use a pan, it will make no difference......

It looks lovely but surely the idea of the actifry is you don't use so much oil. You put the paddle in, all the ingredients and set off and let it go. Why take the paddle out n stand and stir? Doesn't make sense to me!

Jeanne Riggall the actifry or any aif fryers sole purpose isnt just to cook with low oil. its a kitchen appliance. so some recipes will be low oil, and some well not. i would say that the main reason i use the actifry is because it is easy to clean up. makes all the sense to me
