These are quite good for what they cost. I've found that they're a perfect fit for my ears which was one of the major things for me. The only downside is if you DO turn off the ANC, there is a weird buzzing noise. However, I mostly listen to music in the gym when I need to have the ANC on. Other than that one thing, these are great!
@laracorpmax3 жыл бұрын
I have these and they paired just fine right out of the box and the "noise cancelling" actually works great from blocking traffic to gym noise quite well and yeah from a normal person who isn't an audiophile it's sounds great and no complaints with the mic from people I called. Love them for the price.

These were my daily drivers (haha get it, "drivers?"ok I'll stop) for about 6 months and they're pretty solid considering you get ANC and an ambient mode and the sound is pretty good after a little EQ tweaking. One very important thing here that people never see is that when the case runs out of juice for the buds mid-charge, the buds turn back on. Many times I thought "yeah ok I have a little more charge left" and popped them in the case and the next morning I open them up and the case and the buds are both completely dead. Also you can not turn off ambient mode while using the buds individually, which I do very often. I found it very annoying, as it eats battery even without any playback.
@omegavladosovich67573 жыл бұрын
Agreed about that terrible case battery! The case issue is not uncommon among true wireless earbuds, but in other earbuds like the Sabbat E12 Ultra the case lasts enough days such that I'm not bothered by it. On the TaoTronics 94 it's annoying because the case only lasts about 8-10 hours for me and in total that's about 12-14 hours, but I rarely ever use the buds on its last charge. That said, I was kinda disappointed by the 1More ANC having about the same battery life from the case and the Galaxy Buds+ even worse (sometimes gone by the first day or 6-8 hours). Buds+ uses proximity sensors to power the buds on/off, so it doesn't matter if the case is depleted. Sabbat E12 Ultra and Earfun Free Pro both last me about 3-4 days of medium usage. I've bee unable to fully drain the case battery of the Earfun Free Pro before the buds themselves - it seems they intentionally left some battery from the case in order to power the buds on/off. While I agree there should be an option to turn ambient mode on/off individually, I actually like having ambient mode when using one bud. You can't do this with the Earfun Free Pro. The Taotronics has a better ambient mode but hisses more. I had to get a replacement because the first unit had nasty hissing on the left bud that sounded like a cricket chirping when using ambient or ANC OFF. The replacement was less severe but it's still noticeable for ambient mode.

I had these a few months ago and sadly had to return them. I didn't have much of a choice since in Canada, at the time there really weren't many ANC earbuds under $100 CAD. After reading and watching reviews on a few other ANC earbuds at this price range, it narrowed it down to two: The Taotronics SoundLiberty 94 or the MPOW X3. I chose the lesser of two evils in the Taotronics SoundLiberty 94. Even the Tozo NC9 weren't available here in Canada at the time in November/December 2020. I had many issues with the earbuds that made me return them. Firstly, the fit. While I didn't have any problems getting the right seal or with them falling out, I felt this uncomfortable "cabin pressure" feeling, especially with ANC on. I felt that something was uncomfortablly expanding in my ear, even with the right tip. They also don't go in too deep either. My next issue is with the charging case. I'm not worried about the battery life for these since they have ANC, anything 20+ hours is fair game for me. But with the case, sometimes when I put them in, they wouldn't charge. They'd still disconnect from my phone, but the earbuds remain on which drains the battery. There was one time when I went to go take them out and they were completely dead because they wouldn't always connect to the charging port and sometimes turn on and off my themselves. Next issue I have is with ANC. While I had no issues with Ambient mode, like you said, there's not much difference with it on or off. My final and most biggest gripe I have with these are the sound quality. Sound quality diminishes quite a bit with ANC on. The bass is reduced and loses that rumble. The treble mids and highs don't really do well either in my opinion. While they weren't muddy by any means, they just didn't stand out enough to me. In my opinion these aren't worth it, especially since the ANC doesn't do much and like you said, it's better to listen to these with ANC off. What's the point of getting ANC earbuds if the sound quality diminishes significantly and ANC doesn't cancel out that much noise. One would be better with a non ANC pair of earbuds. Thus why I had to return them.
@omegavladosovich67573 жыл бұрын
I'm also from Canada and had the same issue with them being the only option at the time. The case only lasts 6-10 hours of use for me, and when depleted the buds remain powered on. The treble is pretty dull on these even after I removed the nozzle filters. Both units I received were defective with a cricket-chirp hissing on the left bud (not just the static on both ears) when ANC is turned off. The second unit was better, but still fairly noticeable when using ambient mode. Their after-service is fast to offer replacements but then they'll start throwing gift-card offers at you if you seem unsatisfied, often with the condition you give them 5 stars on Amazon. You might be able to get a coupon code before that, but then after they request a rating change. Now every week they spam me with 'we notice you didn't change the review... please go change it... we'll offer another 35$!!!!".

Yeah most companies shifted away from the "just rest in your ear" type because they don't provide a good seal I think, so they can't implement ANC or anything like that. From what I recall, not many big name brands still manufacture those, apart from Apple and Huawei (but even the latter is shifting away from them) .
