Mimetic Digitalis is a 10HP step sequencer optimized for live use. It includes four individually editable CV outputs and a trigger out. Each step can be manually programmed, or you can record CV using the encoder. The zero button deletes the CV and shred randomizes the voltage on selected channels. Edit a pattern and use undo to return to the unedited version. Save and load up to 16 patterns, with 8 on-the-fly slots for easy access during a set. Mimetic Digitalis is a modular synth performer's dream.

Just 2 days ago, I received my Jam Jam to work with my Erica LXR Drum module. I'm currently using MI Grids with them. Grids trigger outs to JJ 1-3 in, JJ 1-3 out to Frap Tools 333 RYG in, Grids accent outs to LXR accent ins, and 333 RYG out to any damn place I like, so I can mult JJ delays out across the whole system - 3 mult outs per JJ channel, I can send swing/delay/phasing to drums, filters, envelopes, fx, whatever... Seriously, I don't get why the Jam Jam isn't getting more love. Anyway, I have other sequencers besides Grids - Metropolix, 0-Ctrl, Beatstep/Keystep, Metropolix, Euclidean Circles, MI Frames and Marbles, Tetrapad/Tete... I'm not shy on sequencing options. But looking at this... Holy shit. It looks amazing. It has so many of the pros of the above, and with low hp. On the list!

Can you please make a new version with an option to quantize with 16 different scales starting on any root note, this would work with Shred and everything

In the 7 / 4 step sequence (clip nr.1) how do I get the four step sequence? This video is very helpful!!!

Not a great solution for rests, since the VCA will cut off the voice -- what if the decay of the voice is long? Would have been better to include the ability to turn off the triggers in the pattern.

Great ideas here. Can you explain why the high value in patch one makes it reset? Just curious:)

A high CV is interpreted the same way a reset trigger would be, so it jumps back to the start when it reaches that step. Self patching MD is a lot of fun!

@@mcgrealtube It looks to work the same way as the Make Noise 0-Ctrl in that respect. On the 0-Ctrl, if you want a 5 step sequence, you patch gate 6 out to reset in. The gate on the 0-Ctrl is the equivalent of the high value with the MD.

1:20 Aren’t you using Quantus Ampla here as a low pass gate, not strictly as a VCA? I’m not the best with modular and have been wracking my brain how a strict VCA would work this way. I can do it with an Optomix but not Maths, though I admit I might be missing something.
