Hey we didn't charge the car at the hotel so no idea about it but as far as we know all slow charging kit need proper earthing if it's not available you need to connect the rod

Sir one thing ,u done extension know , if ur cable is round means (coil) ,there heat VL produce so gradually phase and nuteral wire get short, so that after finishing charging pls check wheather coil get heat. And update through youtube, k sir good luck

I stay on the second floor, building is in Mumbai, so I have to park the car on the road, and the road is 200 meters away, can I use a plug, 15amp socket and a switch board to charge Tata Tiago EV? Currently I use 40 meters 1.5 sq mm cable to charge my electric scooter. Do I still need earthing for charging a car, or the same system of scooter charging is enough but with 4 sq mm cable instead of 1.5 sq mm?

Hi....thanks for earthing idea 😂 Actually there was earthing problem while charging rv400 there was current flow in screws of charger so I connected a wire to screw of charger and attached the other end to iron rod and pushed it in soil and pour water and ..........really it worked I checked using tester at the screw on the charger and after doing it the bulb was off. .....to check the connection I removed wire on charger and light on tester glowed and when I attached wire bulb in tester was off ....means it was working Plz give feedback / suggestions to my idea Thanks 🙏🙏🙏

Valuable practical demo. Thank you. For the Tata setup we need 4 sq mm cables. 3 core. O e more thing the neutral and phase should be in the correct punsand not interchanged. In that case charger will not work.

Sometimes wire are not rated for that plug be careful if possible only use boards with 4mm wire as 9 hrs can fry a 2.5 mm wire for info call electricity guys from the property as even 4 mm cheap cable is like 1 mm cable so just take care

Next time simply try putting a shorting wire between earth and neutral in the plug point itself.. no need to run the earthing wire separately.. it should work i believe.. do try I am an electrical engineer by profession..

never buy EV at least not for 5 years . U will get stuck and no option other than towing. Petrol is best. No headache. I have one petrol and 1 nexon ev. Took nexon ev to a village trip. Had to return by bus . Couldnt complete round trip of 180 km by driving smoothly in ECO mode and REGEN mode, not using S mode at all.
