Yep, now that you say that, the head shot in the Doctor Who intro was composed similarly starting with the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker, and they continued that for the next two or three Doctors. One of them (I forget which) even had basically the same lens flare. I was a big Tom Baker fan as a teenager.
