Learn the basic shapes of wavetable synthesis. Layer several sounds/oscillators with proper octave then EQ/mixing/compression/sfx etc. Basically anything sounddesign/mixing. There’s plenty tutorials on filthy bass/leads/reeses/hoovers and what not. We had to figure out it by ourselves twenty plus years ago. You have it EZ

You guys need to take inspiration from your older stuff back in 2008. Remember Ground Hog? Machine gun? These tracks have rhythm and flow. They unfolded nicely. Literally every track you do nowadays is 1min of build up or there about, then a crappy drop full of college level sampling. What happened? You know it's rough when the most famous song you have is a collaboration with Skrillex (it's a banging song). Get inspired guys. Please try harder. You're better than the meth head scene. Every 5-8 years or so I immerse myself in DnB, I have my fill and then I completely step away from it. Musical hibernation if you like. This way I'm consistently blown away each time with the change in production value, new sounds/plugins/techniques etc. Literally just woke up and headed straight here but if i'm completely honestly, for me not much has really changed. Has the law of diminishing returns been affecting DnB? Still pure filth and the bar always gets raised when i comes to mix quality, but i'm not hearing anything different.
