I was 15 when the split the atom dropped. It was such an innovative and beautiful record, perfectly conveying my emotions at the time. Ever since, I've been a Noisia fan. I love the fact that Noisia doesn't drop too often, makes the times when they do all the more special. Listening to outer edges during my first years of college, during my first relationship and subsequent breakup made the experience so special. My memories are linked to Noisia's tracks, and honestly I wouldn't have it any other way. I still remember the day the incessant ep dropped, I was absolutely speechless yet inside I was bouncing with joy listening to all the unique and fractured soundscapes and new emotions I'd never felt before. Now that I'm in a better place and in a stable relationship, I feel like I can understand Noisia from a whole new perspective now. This track, and by extension, this album, perfectly conveys my feelings, and I think I'll be listening to this for years to come. Thank you Noisia.

Outer edges was an exploration to the extremes of ideas. This feels like a final return to form. It is a pretty classic drum and bass album all around with a few exceptions. It is also probably one if not THE most well produced and creative drum and bass album of all times. A final amazing huray of the most influential musical edm trio of all times. See ya all in 20 years when they hit us with hole pt. 2 Goodby noisia and thank you for everything.
@jakubzamazal2 жыл бұрын
I don't think they ever actually planned on releasing this. 70% of these tracks were release as a single before. And single Noisia releases were usually DnB. Therefore this album contains DnB mostly. But just look at those few new tracks they probably did or finished when they knew they will drop album after all. Half of them are as always was the case with their albums short non DnB experimental tracks. The point if this was planned as album since the beginning i don't think there would be so many DnB tracks.

@@jakubzamazal I really wish they branched out more, like Shutters just sounds like so much fun, and Told You makes me wish they made more hiphop, its really really good. I know that my comment can go unnoticed but I want to express my feelings Seriously guys MANY MANY MANY THANK YOU!!!! for having been NOISIA. They don't know the great impact they had on me with his music ♥ It sounds like a cliche, but at times when my life didn't make sense, listening to their songs made me restart my path, taking the impulse to move forward again. I still remember the first contact I had with his music, and that was with his song "STIGMA" and oh my god!!!! I had never heard a song as brutal and sick as that 🤩 From that moment I knew that it was the music that I liked and how it felt. I did not stop knowing and investigating about you, I started to see every video you had on your KZbin channel, follow you on all your networks, see your official page, download the wallpapers that you offered for free, play "DMC" just for that you were the musical producers behind the game, seeing each live set that people uploaded on youtube when you played and imagining that I am at that precise moment, is what I longed for the most. I still remember when I found out that you were going to come to play at "EDC Mexico 2018" I had never felt so much emotion imagining that I was going to see you for the first time. 😍 Unfortunately, at that time I did not have the economic resources to buy a ticket and see them, but when I saw the videos of seeing how they "broke it" on stage, I felt enormous happiness. To be exact this is the favorite part of his set here in Mexico: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKaYlHipq899pNU (From minute 15:25 to 20:07) 😍♥😍♥😍♥ But the set that is most engraved in my heart is the one that Thijs gave in "Rampage 2015" they do not know the adrenaline and emotion that continues to cause me Every time I see your sets, I try to recreate them in FLStudio to be able to recreate the feeling that you transmitted to the public and the ecstasy that they gave 🥰. To be honest, I still have doubts if Nik and Martijn are brothers, they really do look too much alike. 😅 and if at any time or interview, podcast they came to comment on this topic, I would like to know the answer 😳 There are too many things that I would like to continue saying about you, explaining each of your songs that I like and what makes it special to me and what it transmits to me, but there are no words to describe them 💘 I am grateful to life for having had the opportunity to meet them, to know that in this universe there are people who border on perfection in the creation of music and to know how to convey that feeling. My dream is to become a great producer like you, but more than that, is that in the future, to be able to have a collaboration with you being Noisia Thank you very much for every gift you gave us with each song released, hours of dedication, effort, ideas, drafts, remixes EVERYTHING!!! I wish there was a way to show how grateful I am to you. Thijs, Nik, Martijn Thank you for being part of my life With love a big fan from Mexico ♥

You decribe so well how all human (i think) became a fan of artist or group. So i can litteraly understand what you're decribing. The quality of theur songs are just incridebible, i want to become a producer since 2018 ans its Boris, like you with noisia who give the tast of sound. The Hole Pt.1 lives up to his name. Really. >1:13:28 The track begins like you are waking up in a dark hole. After a little bit recovery time; >1:13:52 the searching begins. > 1:14:15 You're realizing you are in a dire situation. It's a room with zero light. Panic is slowly rising. Your whole body aches. Incomprehensible rhythm is says "You don't understand anything and the time is passing." >1:14:32 A calmer ambient noise is silencing the high pitched panic noise. You have to continue even if you don't see a thing. The searching begins again. You are walking slowly with one of your hand on the wall. >1:14:39 You are finally remembering to check your pockets. There is nothing in your pocket. The panic is coming back. But this time with a headache. When you are checking the back of your head, some dried blood coming in your hand. You are remembering the fight with 2 thugs... Punches... And a chair out of nowhere. ..! You are feeling a door with your hand. It could be closed. Your hearts bpm rising to 150 in miliseconds. >1:15:03 ...The door opens. The light rays of the moon through a window in the distance is the first thing you are seeing. This is a factory...An old steel mill that looks like abandoned. On a second glance, you are seeing some blood in front of the door. It's obvious whose blood it is. You are deciding to follow the blood trail. >1:15:51 The trail is taking you to a broken window. The main gate is 20 meters to the left and chained. You are sticking your head out the window and looking outside. Hmm...Looks safe. >1:16:04 And you are outside... Flickering street lamp shows a group of people in the street. A meeting with the old friends is the last thing you could ever want right now. You are hiding and moving in the oppsite direction. >1:16:13 You are noticing a hole in the steel mill's wall. A hole to freedom...In 1 minute, you're already walking alone through the night. The surroundings are like the outermost parts of the city. >1:16:39 A car is coming up the road. That's a woman. She doesn't want to take you in the car. You are begging to her as much as possible. Finally she is taking you in the car. You are calling your family with her phone. You can hear them crying... Thanks for everything Noisia..

I can't say just how much you've defined my expectations in terms of music (and I mean it when I say in terms of music). You've shown me the "standard" of a genre does not mean it's the proven best style. You've taught me there's beauty in disorder, there's stillness in chaos and that, in the right hands, dissonance can become harmony. I used to be, and still am to a great degree, the type of person that gets sick of a song pretty quick and rarely enjoy listening to tracks I've burnt up, but that never applied to your music. With that being said, although there will be no more new coming from Noisia, you've left behind a true legacy. Hopefully it will be a legacy that new pioneers will wear as their banner as they go down the beaten path of taming the dark side of music. I bid you farewell Noisia and say hello to Thijs, Nik and Martijn! May we be left without one and blessed with 3 others!
