Played the demo and enjoyed it. It kind of reminds me of Crown Trick, but not quite as pretty or addictive.

Reviewer makes it clear he probably never played a true roguelike before, seeing how tile based movement is new to him. This is what happens when kids slap the term roguelike onto everything with permadeath and randomized levels. I'm just waiting to see someone call hardocre mode in Diablo the roguelike mode. Who am I kidding, that probably already happened.

Does the reviewer not know what the original "Rogue" was if they think this game's turn based tile movement is novel?

The turn based movement that is also tied to your weapons is quite novel. You attack with whichever weapon is equipped in the direction you move.
