Unfortunately there's a fairly large editing mistake towards the end of this video and my best run so far (makes it to temple of the art!) is missing entirely. Pretty much everything I do in that run is replicated in the next few episodes, but I'm sorry for the error. You can find the full VOD on twitch if you desire.

you could upload just that part unlisted and link it here, that would be helpful since im assuming the vod wont be permanent

Shuffle wands are a very solid way to balance wands in a game where wand building is the biggest part of the game, but you really need some non-shuffle wands to learn how wand building works. The Holy Mountain's background display can help understand what's happening even with shuffle, but it's way more complex. Also, I love the spiders ruining his early jungle run by breaking into the Holy Mountain and pissing off the Gods. Then Carl just not even seeing the big "THE GODS ARE MAD" indicator across his screen because he was busy looking at wands so he gets surprised in between a rock and a hard place with a whole horde of spiders and God's enforcer. What an incredibly appropriate way for his first run that far to end.
@LunaWitcherArt10 күн бұрын
I'm at 2:47:23 and the fact he DIDN'T end his run like that was incredibly impressive. shield + that wand + dodge is OP
@anthonybowman342310 күн бұрын
@@LunaWitcherArt Yeah. Steve is usually a run ender when you haven't played at all. Given his shield made most of Steve's attacks bounce off harmlessly. He only got hurt when the shots hit the walls near him and exploded. And his wand didn't care in the slightest about Steve's shield. He was very well kitted for that exact scenario.

People (Rightfully) mostly meme this game for being extremely unforgiving or having secrets you can barely even solve with the Wiki open. But i think the main reason this is one of my favorite games of all time is the sheer freedom of player expression and potential the wand crafting allows, some people will say that it is too confusing and takes way too much time to get decent at, and while thats true, i believe that only because it is build in this way can it function like it does when fully utilized. The things you are able to do in this game are without exaggeration more powerful and absurd than most cheats or glitches in other games. I do not want to spoil much, but i would like you to just take a shot in the dark what the speedrun time of this game is in a run where youre able to start with a pre designed wand (the way the wand works is not glitched, its supposed to work the way it does), its so absurd that i think anyone who hasnt heard about it will not be able to guess it. I hope youre gonna have fun and enjoy all the different aspects of the game Carl :D I feel like the theory aspect of wand crafting could be right up your alley

Love seeing you play Noita. And I really like the troll-kind fact, that you more you get accustomed and confident with the game mechanics, the more impatient you get when walking through the first dungeons. Therefore you damage yourself with low-money in the beginning the better you get through time - just in the moment when you say/think: "I've got this, hold my beer!". 😁

A note on "rock" rock is good because physics damage gives you double gold as it's considered "accidental" just like kicking a rock at an enemy, very few if any regular enemies are immune to this damage. Importantly since this rock is a spell that's cast you can give the rock other magical properties, such as one of the homing effects, for a rock that will fly and smack one enemy, yielding double gold, and move on to the next. Since the rock you put into the world simply has this as a property even if the rock comes to a rest and stops moving you can kick it to get it flying again. In short rock is not bad, rock is amazing, as can any spell be with the right modifiers, but it deserves its 3 cast limit more than you realize.
