Most enemies have no reduction to freeze damage. Also, pretty much all organic enemies can be 1 shot by melee once frozen. Tentacles are more effective than a kick here

@@charlotte_0_0_0 skill issue Realistically, how few people would find minute details like this out on there own? Not like I told him how to go unlock end game spells or how to make an infinite damage wand

Just to add, I don't think a single kick automatically kills frozen enemies. I think it depends on their hit points, as I've had to kick strong enemies like Steve 2-3 times to shatter them. Tentacle is definitely the most effective automated way to shatter it. Smack-shatter.

@@why_i_game A-HEM "pretty much all" meaning NOT ALL. The majority of organics that occur frequently have low enough hit points for 1 to be enough. Maybe read again before hitting send

@@why_i_game Melee damage during freeze indeed does not oneshot enemies. Instead, it reduces their *current* HP by 50% (unaffected by damage modifiers, unless that modifier is 0x melee damage), and if the enemy has 25% or less of its max HP remaining, it *then* instakills. For most enemies from max HP it would indeed take 3ish hits; 100% HP to 50% HP, 50% to 25%, then 25% to dead.

Ah yes, back when rapid firing a sparkbolt trigger was the pinnacle of my wand crafting. I was hype af the first time I saw the number above the statue climb over 1k. I thought "Surely nothing could top this"... Noita is unforgiving, but if you choose to stick it out, you have a wonderful journey ahead of you. 1 tip I want to give is NEVER write a spell or mechanic off, some spells might seem completely useless at first, but in 99% of cases they end up having their time and place. Keep an open mind, I got surprised so many times by things I had completly written off. And my list of priorities changed so much over the course of my playtime. Noita is amazing like that, cause the only thing improving between runs is your understanding. It's made me feel more empowered than probably any other game I played, and that's without a leveling system or any sort of arbitary stat inflation. You literally have the tools to break the game wide-open from the first minute of the first run, but it's up to you to actually seek them out and put them into use, which will take many many hours of experimenting and failure to be able to do. But then when things finally starts clicking.. Oh Boy..

Over two days on a god run I went from "oh wand go brrr" to "wand go brr all things spawned in die instantly" gold to power on a crits on stains build is... actually invisible murder cloud. If EldenDLC wasnt dropping I'd be heading to ng+ cycles to see how long it instantly deleted everything. Only boss I havent tried is lake because water curse. (Crit on wet would be sad)

so the extreme spread spell doesn't actually increase spread but still gives the cooldown reduction if you put it on a trigger spell?
@Shuroii Жыл бұрын
Yes
@StandingHereIRealizeYouWereJus Жыл бұрын
It increases the spread of what comes out of the trigger because of where he put it. And if put inside a trigger spells will give recharge time reduction BUT not cast delay, so depending on ur wand stats and the spells u want to fire, putting it inside the trigger might not make it fire faster.

that's the highest lag per damage ratio ive seen. a mere 1-2k dps reducing your pc to 10 fps is really rough

@@mrspeedrunwastaken1348My (limited) understanding is that Noita is pretty bottlenecked by its own engine. It has a lot of pixels to simulate physics/interactions on, and since that's something that really has to be calculated in order from A to B to C, you can't really just split up the calculations and offload B and C to other cpu cores while A is being worked on, you have to wait for A to be done to start with B.
@mrspeedrunwastaken1348 Жыл бұрын
@@temporal_paradox i know exactly what you mean. its the same problem that arises when you send a folder with a million files in it, you can solve that problem by having the GPU calculate the physix parts but afaik this is a whole other world of coding you need to do. I've been working with gamedev for like 20 years, trust me its an inconcivibly difficult task to implement these things, you cant just compile and be like "oh nice no errors were good" no, you have to figure it out through rigorous testing. (if at all) and youll have an infinite amount of navigating yourself through the engine to figure out how to actually plug everything together to make an half way and god help me perfectly working system we call a video game lol.
