This was the first smartphone I owned and I had the black variant that came with the red and blue back covers. That was 10 years ago when I did not have a single idea about smartphones and android but bought it because Nokia was the only brand I had in mind speaking of feature phones.

Symbian was a really good OS, I remember my N8 could have up to 20 apps open with just 250mb ram. When Nokia started to make feature phones along with windows phone I always wondered why didn't they use Symbian instead of a Java based OS? If they did so, Symbian would have survived until now.

I have a Nokia 500. I remembered that when I was still using symbian Anna, my nokia was slow and laggy. It had a lot of problems with ram. I finally installed delight cfw (based on symbian Belle) and my phone became suddenly fast and smooth.

N500 was very bad product, it has motherboard problem which shuts off phone when Sim card inserted.

Bought for just 20 euros and it works perfectly. Angry Birds already installed and Symbian belle OS. The only thing is that it doesn't connect to WiFi but it's ok since the phone is 10 years old

i got mine refurbished for 28.50nzd free shipping off dhgate like 2 years or so ago just to play around with and i like it the camera for only 5mp is quite good for its age also recorded video looks ok on this camera for only being 640x352 just wish it recorded higher fps only does 15fps look fine unless you record things moving fast
