Excellent video I have a vanquish and have been thinking about upgrading to the double score. I do wish it came with a 10 inch coil as I do parks 95% of the time. Still thinking about the upgrade. Look forward to seeing the next video.

The Vanquish series is very capable. I can say right now that either one of the scores is a definite upgrade to a Vanquish 540.

One thing I like about my Manticore is the coil bolt that has no nut and washers. It's convenient enough that I no longer have to buy an extra lower shaft just to make coil changes easier. Otherwise your points are right on target.

Awesome Feature Review. I think alot of Detectorists like perfection so your Points all make sense! Whites sure dropped the Ball they pretty much had the market at one point. Too well fed and lost touch with what the customer wanted I guess plus no new innovation! Sure Impressed with Nokta they have really been listening to the customer and taking Criticism well which is what is needed to be a leader in the Industry! I wish Nokta would make a trigger finger pin point button like the whites machines had that was just a natural place to put it and was so Ergonomic. Looking forward to More Reviews from you on this Machine!

You're right about the trigger pinpoint. I would guess the issue would be making it waterproof. Adding a boot over a toggle doesn't last long. But if it could be figured out, Nokta could do it.

Yes. The handle is superior. So far, it's a super buy for $400.

@mowerdog I have both but haven't done a side by side target comparison, also got the 9x5 for the ds, haven't used it yet though...it's the only size coil that I use on my legend, great coil! As far as the ds I like how easy it is to make changes on the fly..

going back through this video. I have to say I completely disagree on so much of what you have said. I own the manticore and the nokta. I paid for both MYSELF. I needed to address a few things you mentioned... First I do not give a dang that your box has a cheap plastic handle on a paper box lol. OMG dude..... My machines went from the cheap shipping box with pretty writing into padded compartmental packs as soon as I could empty the box out and care for my things. NOBODY carries like you said friend. If you were like me and had to save for a year to but the manticore then you are going to care for it... Not keep it in a cheap box made for display and shipping... Ok, Now that handle you hate so much. The nokta wears my hand out. Here is why and BTW the manticore... solid and awesome for opposite your reasoning. IF you were using a baseball bat then yes, the way the handle on the nokta is would matter because IF you were swinging a bat, the pinky would be solid on that bat. But when SWINGING a machine back and forth for hours on end.... The thumb, webbing from it to the pointer finger, pointer finger and middle finger are constantly carrying the weight and balance. The smallest two fingers are doing nothing, in fact they NEED TO BE RELAXED.... The nokta forces them to be stressed, the Manticore releases that pressure so you have a better balance.... At lease for me..... so, go ahead, swing like a baseball bat or..... finesse it lol :-)... There is much more but it is late and my wife and lil ones are looking at me like I am nuts and she is making that harrruummpppp noise that says... enough of this foolishness, quit typing lol... so more another day...\ The problem with getting free stuff is the mentality it forms in one's mind. The two machines are great, but not equal in any way, shape or form. You get what you pay for..... nuff said?

He is one of a handful that fully understood all the functions. When it first came out, I went to a training session with my distributor. He was supposed to know the machine inside and out. When we started asking questions, he admitted he knew very little.

NitPicking on Nokta on a basic machine, if you never use a Legend then you are lost.... Since I use a Legend, I like how it's laid out.

I didn't want a Legend because my hunting buddy Bill has one. We like to compare targets with different machines. Nothing to learn checking a target with two Legends.

I wanted to try some of the products early on until I saw some of the tubers getting bashed because of their opinions. Wrong way to handle it. Too many options to put up with that kind of B.S. Lost the will to live watching this video And if you are so observant Why did you complain about the manticore handle angle BUT failed to understand why it is like that ???? The manticore handle angle is determined by your arm The manticore arm cup sits higher off the main shaft It was designed like that specifically for this reason

You must have skipped the part where I explained why the Manticore's arm cuff is higher. You also missed where I explain that I must compensate for it's height too.

First of all you said a small coil goes just as deep, stupid statement as its simply not the case, as for the VS of these detectors there is no comparison at all so why even bother, but we all know why you have did this VS, its the free machine and thats all your really interested in, if you had a go out with one machine on your best site we all know the one you will take, so another waste of time video that proves nothing, other than you make money from it....🙄

An 8 inch coil can go deeper than a 10-11" coil. Not everytime, but most of the time. This is because you can apply more gain to a small coil that can make a larger coil unstable. I never even hinted the Double Score performs better than the Manticore. The DS is awesome for $400

DD coils depth is affected very little by coil size. The strip down the middle of the coil is where the field is, so the size of the coil only effects the size of the field. Larger or smaller coils not much different than stock with DD coils. Now Concentric is a different story.

@@martinsmith2984 I'm not a detectorist yet, but am doing my homework on which detector to get, all I can say is here where I live the DS is $479 presently and the Legend is $805, for me that IS ALOT more money (almost double the price), which makes is unreachable for some people.
