My Nolan was diagnosed with TM 01/25/15 at age 16. The day before he had made his high school baseball team. He played shortstop, so needless to say he was extremely active. I found him laying on my front porch paralyzed from midchest down. You are exactly correct, keep allowing Nolan to use his muscles as much as he can. When he can't, you need to do it for him. I truly believe.that me moving my Nolan's legs for him really helped. I gave his muscles range of motion. If you don't use it you loose it. My Nolan can put his wheelchair in the back of his truck and walk to the cab. His truck is hand operated. He now is a sophomore in college and lives on his own. He has lots of friend and a sweet, loving & gorgeous girlfriend. I am so thankful that Nolan is still with me. When we used to have bad days we would remember someone always has it much worse. It would straighten both of us out pretty quickly. I would send you a pic if I knew how. Keep on keeping on! I see great things in your family's future.🌞
