On the heels of doing a hike where we did about 16 miles to pick up 1.5 new miles of trail, this was a very different scenario. We hiked about 17 miles and TWELVE of them were new. We were incredibly surprised by the scenery along the Noland Creek Trail. How is it that after so many years of hiking in the Smokies, we still underestimate them? The trail was smooth and followed a lovely creek. Morning fog danced across sections of it. If you're staying in the Bryson City area for a long weekend, we strongly recommend checking out Noland Creek!

We are Kelly & Michelle of Drive Hike Repeat. A few years ago we decided to try to hike every mile of every trail in every National Park. There are about 9200 miles of trail in the current 63 National Parks and we are over 36% done.
