The dam will be there but just like the other dam a few months back ,the erosion will eat away that one side and the water will just go around the dam instead of over it.

On Douglas reservoir myself but from what I've been told it can hold quite a bit of overflow so I'm just watching the levels. Currently it's around it's normal capacity. As far as I know

That dam is over-topped? Seems to me like there needs to be a full evacuation downstream if there isn’t already.

Water is meant to go overtop this dam, there was an evacuation order but it was lifted as the dam held thankfully.

Most of the big dams in the country were built in the 40-60s. It's time to start renovating! Isn't that how we got out of the war-era depression? Nation wide infrastructure investment.

There are a number of dams in that area that got failing grades in their previous inspections and many more who were expected to fail tests by 2030. We can't keep ignoring infrastructure repairs much longer and that means tax increases because private money on public projects is a bad idea even if you are fascist and want to privatize all those projects for a profit.
@caseyj779Ай бұрын
Didn’t the federal government pass trillions of dollars for infrastructure? Where did that money go? Oh that’s right it went to pay for infrastructure in every country but the U.S.
@Someaddress555sАй бұрын
@@caseyj779 what has been spent is just a drop in the bucket for all of these infrastructure projects that have been neglected for decades and are way past their expected life spans. You can't just ignore problems and hope they get better or bridges and dams will crumble and cause bigger issues.
@caseyj779Ай бұрын
@@Someaddress555s I agree. My point is that the infrastructure bill they passed is not even being spent to re build new bridges and dams here in the U.S. to replace these old ones that are bad.

@@caseyj779 I got your attempt at misinformation but there have been projects across the country the past few years that do exist so please keep your personal xenophobia out of this.
