Obviously people hate Red Cross. As a result we are discontinuing the fundraiser. We were unaware of the issues with this organization. We have ran fundraisers with many different organizations over the years. I would like to add another organization in its place, however I’m sure there will be issues with just about any organization from someone. The money donated to this point will still go to ARC. A big thanks for the generosity of those who have donated. I would still like to encourage anyone, if you feel so led, please find an organization to donate to that you are comfortable with. Apologies, just trying to help.

The Red Cross is proud that an average of 90 cents of every dollar we spend is invested in delivering care and comfort to those in need. Each year, the generous support of donors like you enables our disaster workforce- 90% volunteers-to help millions of people in the U.S. 8:56

Exactly! There but by the grace of God go I.....we lived in an RV for several years behind a ragged out double wide - medical debt (misdiagnosis requiring hospitalization), until we could get it "liveable".....we are thankful every day for a dry roof over our heads, a structure that holds warm air in winter and cool air in summer, hot and cold running water, a place to lay our heads every night and sleep, a place to wash our clothes and take a shower. I can tell you that cold has absolutely no mercy, and we learned to build a darn good hillbilly RV skirt every winter. Ergo, our weekly tithe/offering goes to the local homeless shelter in our small town....there but by the grace of God go I.

We are well award of the destructive force of hurricanes living relatively close to the Louisiana coast. I am sure that a donation will be conducted by our church of which we will gladly participate. If there is anything good that happens from this, is that people from all over come together to help each other in a time of need. We are all neighbors and we all share in each others happiness, best wishes and sadly tragedies. Wishing the best and keeping all of you in our thoughts. Hoping to hear from you soon.

It’s so crazy how atmospheric water can create new rivers, breach dams, and destroy towns in one day.

It is so crazy that humans would choose to build dams and block the natural flow of water to build towns for prosperity and greed.

We are not simply witnessing a few minor natural disasters, but rather an [exodus] like Moses' days affecting over 3 million homes at once due to catastrophic climate change. These calamities will not cease, but will continue to *worsen each week* until the end comes. This is the undeniable truth. Stay safe and obey your local authorities because your life depends on it. 🙏🏼⛈️

I would NEVER donate to RED CROSS!! PLEASE FIND ANOTHER WAY! Praying for the people of the area~!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏 I pray this situation will draw people closer to YEHOVAH and HIS SON and HIS WAYS and REPENT TURN from their wicked ways and SIN...No curse without a cause. ALL THESE things are happening because people have turned form the GOD of ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB and HIS strait and narrow WAY. We have been warned since 9/11/2001.

The Nolichucky Dam in Greene County didn't fail, but it was on the brink. Had it failed, the flooding downstream would have been much worse. It's bad enough as it is, but it would have been devastating from the dam all the way to Douglas Lake.
