Hi Nolo! Again, really well done video. I worked closely with THQ Games on the World Race vidgame, doing my best to insert characters, car paint jobs, and story elements that were complementary to our animation and comic book narrative. A small bit of insight I can offer is that THQ had the sequel rights to console games based on the World Race storyline and characters for some period of time after the release of the first game. For a variety of reasons they chose not to pursue it, but it's possible that they still had the right to do so when the Acceleracers opportunity came up. So rather than risk any legal issues, the new developer could only be "inspired by" the films, comics, and trading cards. This perfectly illustrates the difference between Starlight Runner's transmedia approach, and this one. Maintaining strong transmedia producers helps to plan the long-term health of the franchise, include this foresight in legal agreements, and oversee implementation with tight continuity. Essentially what we're seeing with Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic Universe today. Hoping Mattel takes these lessons to heart with He-Man and the future of Hot Wheels.

He-Man was/is in a weird place legal wise. I think Mattel didn't own the entirety of it by the time the animation company was defunct a few decades ago. But Mattel should be in a decent place now for the rights to movies and TV shows, as evident by recent revival and reboot announcements. This certainly brings perspective on why one should be careful on legal agreements. It also took a while for Marvel properties to come together after the 90's bankruptcy.

To be fair Mainframe just reused and modified the Megatron model. Mainframe did that a lot back then since it is easier to reuse existing assets than make new ones that aren't always necessary.

Storyline is alot more tricky and they'd have to rewrite or add other things into the Movie Scripts, it's more expensive just making a new story not part of the movies and wouldn't work out, World Race still uses the official characters and not something new. Next the Racing Realm's must start from Solar>Cosmic which there's 29 Racing Realm's, 4 that were not confirmed and only assumed which you're asking the devs to show them in the game when they don't exist in the franchise and the Lava Realm was not seen, just Cavern and Water which no Tires were known so it's tricky if the Tires aren't revealed. There's also the case of licensing and I don't know if it's even possible for a company to use it and to make it different than Distance and you can't use the same models because you have to create more Racing Realms in the style and just look at the movie Realms like Water, it's way too vast and many parts of them were skipped so we don't have any idea what it'd look like. Now is it impossible? Not really but it would be very difficult especially since the VA's have to do work on the dialogue and they don't seem to want to, not even Vert in BF5 is the same and this would be costly, this stuff ain't cheap and to get a VA to take part in your works, apparently you have to pay them and convince them it's worth it so I highly doubt an AcceleRacers video game will ever work out.

If I would've been making the Acceleracers video game, I would make sure to include not only the tracks from the movies, but also those from the shorts and card game. The story mode probably would've followed the same way the movies and shorts went, all while adding some of the other realms in between. All the cars from the series would be added. I'd picture it something like the customs maps done of "Distance" with what has been done.

There's an issue Sound, Forest, Glass and Sky are fanmade and not official but Sound is the one since there's no other symbol like Integral so it's really hard to make one, it can be fanmade but if those four are speculated Realms, you can't call it an official game.

It’s been many years that have come and gone since I watched world race and acceleracers, but one thing is for sure. I always come back to the movies and I always come back to this channel to watch some of the smaller details that make the series one that lends itself to be rewatch-able. Ultimate Racing has always been such a strange case when I saw Randomwizkid's video on this topic, I never really got why it was so similar to Acceleracers but your video makes it alot more clearer to understand. It's really cool that you got to contact the developers and I feel really bad for their budget getting cut off and Sony even rejected them at first. An Acceleracers game would be so dope to see, but fans have created levels and maps in ROBLOX and Distance to help have that experience. if i made a acceleracers video game, it would be like this: the game would be a mix of a racing game and a managment sim. basicly, you start in the garage, tuning cars boosting team moral, investing in upgrade's for the cars and the other typical things like that. but then at a random point in time the portal opens and the drivers that you assign to drive go in to the portal. then you get to choose which character you want to play. once you do, the drivers enter the portal and you have to race through the realm, surviving anything the game throws at you. if you win, you get an accelecharger that you can use once-per race. if you lose, you dont get anything. also if a character gets into a crash, he/she can get injured or even die if they dont make it out in time. also if a character dies, they cant come back at all (like fire emblem). Upgrades to cars: Escape button (I forgot the offical name lol) Nitrox Damage Reduction Damage Increase EMP (Like NFS Rivals emp) Better Tires Higher HP Higher Heath Timebreaker (Like NFS MW/Carbon) and probably more Handling will be more arcady than forza but less than NFS heat but handles simmilerly

I think I would’ve had this as a concept for an Acceleracers Game. 1. Realms All the realms, including those from the card games would see the light of the day, with their respective quirks. Storm Realm having thunderstorms and all of that, the Swamp Realm having violent monsters and so on. 2. Difficulty - To make things interesting, the difficulty slider would determine how skilled the AIs are, how many racers are there (Teku, Metal Maniacs, RDs, Silencers) and how frequent attacks would come from various sides. Plus, they adjust the difficulty of the realms. (i.e. A hard mode Storm Realm is the equivalent of a Storm Realm that did not have its accelecharger taken, Cliffside realm would probably have random raptors taking cars if you’re not careful. They also determine how many lives you have, to encourage truly skilled racing.) 3. Vast car set (Those featured and not featured in acceleracers would shine) 4. Would Online mode be viable? 5. Point system - Points would be determined with your execution of the needed skill in the specific realm (but then again this would be too complicated) If you read this, what are your thoughts on this?

Hot Wheels Turbo Racing and Stunt Track Challenge were great, but on the whole yeah. As for an Acceleracers Game, simple just be able to go through all 25 realms. Be any of the Metal Maniacs or Teku drivers, having little quips when passing opposing drivers from an opposing team. NG+ mode where you can drive Racing Drones or Silencerz cars, Highway 35 paint jobs for all the returning Highway 35 cars and a Wave Rippers Spine Buster (for lack of Markies Corvette), and the two concept cars that were drawn. Use Accelechargers to help win races, or destroy rival racers. Manage a health bar or EDR out. As you said it's like Acceleracers was set up to be a racing game, so not much to think about beyond just translating what's there.

I played Hot Wheels Beat That, also released in 2007. That game had like 15-16 vehicles from the Acceleracers franchise. The game was your typical Hot Wheels racing game, taking place as toy cars in a house, but among the background in some tracks, there were packages of Hot Wheels Acceleracers lying around. Hot Wheels Unleashed, recently started adding the Acceleracers cars to their DLCs.

Good to see more information about the development of Ultimate Racing. Poor developers, had to buy their own reference material. (RandomWizKid also made a video about Ultimate Racing and reached similar conclusions about the basis of it). Ok, there is, and I mean one, allusion that Mattel had plans for an AcceleRacers game. But this was probably some rambling thing a Mattel representative said. I imagine any video game plans never made if off the idea stage. Hot Wheels Beat That, contrary to popular belief, has nothing to do with AcceleRacers. It's obviously a game with a setting that Mattel has done since the 90's. Those 2006 AcceleRacers cars are simply chosen because uhh they look cool (Beat That was released in Sept. 2007, meaning the game was in development for at least a year, meaning the car selection was likely chosen early on in around 2006)

If I where to make an Acceleracers game, it would play and look like Forza horizon 3 hotwheels in terms of gameplay. As for the story, it would let you make your own custom character, chose a team between teku and metal maniacs, this would affect which cars and liveries you can use/purchase. This includes the same cars seen in the movies and a couple new ones, including motorcycles and big rigs (maybe old Smokey) and lastly it would include every racing realm seen in the movies, the minisodes and the card game. acceleracers as a video game has a lot of potential. for example, you could be in control of an unnamed racer and join either the teku or mm and race along with your crew through the realms against the drones, silencerz, and the group you didn't pick. this would allow you to customize your car as the same style as the group you chose. winning would mean more as gaining an accelecharger would allow more/better powerups for future races. since the acceleracer movies skipped over many realms and featured very little in other, the video game would have a lot of freedom in creating new/interesting storylines, track designs, and obstacles. this could allow for decision making scenes such as helping your teammate or not, how to attack the monsters in each realm, or looking for alternate routes

My other idea for an acceleracers game will be an Story, an Coop and Multiplayer game, the first one Story Mode introduce you into the game by making the Tork Vs Nolo race an tutorial with Cinematics from the movie, then they will race to the Acceledrom and there will be the Menu, in the Menu you'll have an Story, Coop And Multiplayer mode, obviously an Option menu and a introduction to the cars like the movies with the cars info, if you play the story mode can Unlock hiden cars as a trophy for doing an Easter Egg or something, in the Story mode you can select the car you select your car to drive through the realm but you can change the car during playing the Realm, the history in the realms will be the same as the acceleracers movie, you will get accelechargers when you complete the realm in first place. The accelechargers can be used to complete the realms more easier, all the cars have health so you need to be carefull with how you drive. If you complete the Story Mode without using accelechargers you'll get an Acceleron Reverb (the fastest car in the game) and an Acceleron Driver Suit. On the co-op mode you can play the realms of the Story Mode with any car and a friend. In the Multiplayer Mode you'll play as any team of acceleracers, Teku, Metal Maniacs, Silencers, Drones, and even the Tesla Crew an Special team that have all the lost drivers. You'll get into a server and then you'll need to select an car then you'll wait until the select time is up and you'll get into the realm. The Realm Selector is going to be by Votes, it has every Realm in the Movies and Card Game the Realms. The objective of the Multiplayer is to get to the end of the Realm to get an Accelecharger. If you get one your team has a point. When your team wins you get to Level Up, yes there is a levels system for the Multiplayer and when you reach the final level u get to prestige.

There was also a "Sorta" game in the DVD's involving trivia from the show. What made it interesting is it took place all in 1st person from the cockpit of the car. Personally If I was to make a Acceleracers game, It would have combined aspects of 4 games Burnout 3 (Car handling and "Takedowns" of drone cars) Nascar 06 (Being able to swap between cars of a team on the fly as well as being able to command them to draft, pass, or block) Outrun (Point to point racing with many paths, some easier and harder than other. Also the tracks should focus on a couple of skills like the realms did) Need for Speed Underground (Car Customization if Mattel would allow for this)

If I were to design an official Acceleracers video game this is what it would include 1. All Racing Realms that were featured in the card game and the four realms that got cut (Sky, Forest, Glass, & Sound) 2. All featured racing cars (each team has 10 different cars for a total of 40) and some additional cars to select possibly from the world race that are fully customizable with paint and special abilities 3. Car layouts consist of car body, wheels, and two special abilities to choose from (I.e. Vert’s jump jets or Taro’s lava plow) there are others but only mentioning those as examples 4. Before the race starts every player chooses an Accelecharger to use but CANNOT choose the same as someone else. 5. Gameplay: Team based, to keep it from being to crowded in an online lobby 4 teams (Teku, Metal Maniacs, Racing Drones, & Silencerz) of 4 for 16 players online play. True to the series the realms are point to point not laps. Given that the realms are only open for a limited time each race is time trial, an hour is a bit to long for a single race for a video game so reduce to 30 min (feels more appropriate). Cars do take damage and can be destroyed, once destroyed you’re out of the race. That’s pretty much the base idea I have if there should be an Acceleracers video game. I would say more but I would be writing a novel of ideas

If I were to make an AcceleRacers game, I'd definitely put the most focus on the story, but with some extras to go alongside it. Story mode: You'd be playing as a custom avatar, driving for either of Tezla's teams. You pick their appearance and their name (everyone still uses a scripted nickname though, but that can depend on the chosen team), but not their personality: they are their own character, what kind of character might be dependent on their team. At the beginning, the game gives you a selection of ~3 cars, again, depending on the chosen team. However, none of them are "movie" cars: those are, obviously, reserved for other characters. Your character will drive through every one of the ~30 realms, with each of them being heavily segmented, with ~10 segments per realm, taking around five minutes to beat. You die, you have to restart the segment: a special difficulty setting would even force you to re-do the whole realm. During each segment, you either have to make it to the end in an acceptable time, or reach the end of it before other drivers. Between those segments, story happens: you see characters (both the player and NPCs) battle for survival and victory, sometimes resulting in a change to the next segment, like your character having to deal with a detour after being pushed to another section of the track, or getting targeted by a drone sweeper, with the next segment being focused on outrunning and eventually losing it. Keep in mind that Accelechargers are completely unavailable: they do, however, come into play during scripted sequences. Between the realms, more story happens: this is focused mostly on interactions between characters, which usually come into play in the next realm, like new cars after totaling the last one and having to bail, new upgrades (like switchable tire types or upgraded boost capacity), or having a certain enemy team member as a rival throughout the entirety of the next realm. Keep in mind that the story is mostly focused on the player character and their chosen team, as to not have 30 minute cutscenes in a racing game. As for the story itself, it is inspired by the movies, but don't follow them exactly: realms opening in slightly different orders and having different layouts, characters being slightly different, that kind of stuff. It does, however, go all the way from Ignition to Ultimate Race and beyond: if we're doing it, might as well do it all the way. Arcade mode: This is pretty straightforward: you pick any driver from any team - custom character included for both Tezla teams - (and any car used by the team) and race. Either through story segments, arcade exclusive segments, or a collection of segments, from two, all the way to the whole realm in one sitting, with no transitions between segments. Unlike story mode, dying here only slows you down before you get back on track, so all you need to worry about is the loss of time. Layouts for more standard lap races also exist, with one inspired by every realm, as well as the Acceledrome, Drone HQ, and Silencerz HQ. The Ultimate Race: Unlocking after beating the story mode, the Ultimate Race also available, but it's a bit different than just mashing all the tracks together. You do go through all the realms, but they're all compacted to ~10 minutes each. As this is purely an endurance challenge, there are no opponents, and your progress saves between each realm. The catch? You die, and it's over. You have to beat this challenge perfectly in order to reach the end and claim your reward, that being Acceleron paintjobs for every car, and Acceleracer outfits for every character, to use in arcade and multiplayer.

Has anyone notice that in world race vert never drove before, and when vert gets his car Dr. Tesla said all drivers are the highest professional racers in the world. Meaning the wheelers have an excellent history in racing, leading to vert's dad being silencers with Tesla and a clue to the mysterious death of vert's mom probably in a car crash working with the silencers.Cause of vert's mom death, vert's dad doesn't want vert to race with the teku in accelerators.

I'd like it to be similar to NFS: Rivals. The pursuit tech (a fancy name for gadgets) are conceptually similar to the stuff we see the cars do in acceleracers and world race. Unlike NFS: Rivals (an open world game) A free roam hub modeled after the Acceledrome would be cool with a wheel of power that will open with more realms as you unlock them in the campaign (perhaps there's a computer terminal that will let you select realms in the free roam portion)

For a while, I've considered retooling a bunch of racing realms maps in Distance to fit into a story mode type campaign, with custom loading screens and everything. This would ultimately still be a mod of Distance, and not a full "Acceleracers Game", but imo if the end product is better for having piggybacked off of the polished mechanics and game engine of another project then I'm in favor of it. Maybe someday I'll actually go through with this project, and have a fun "Acceleracers Game" playthrough to showcase.

If I was to make an acceleratcers game now, I would want it to be online. There are timed events where you race with a mass number of other players (or AI if lobbies don't fill up) and you would be placed on teams to resemble the teams found in acceleracers. The Spontaneous nature of these races, as well as the team effort put into completing them, would resemble the raid system that we see in other games. Winners of the entire race would receive special prizes, cosmetics. To show off and flex there skill. These would be a sign of status, and never purchasable, much like shiny pokemon. members of the corresponding team would also receive prizes, but more common cosmetics. This game would be more cooperative than competitive. incorporating the difficulty of completing the realms into these long scale races. A single player mode would be included for those who like to play a more traditional racing game. singleplayer would incorporate shorter tracks and AI opponents for practicing for the larger and much longer online races.

Maybe just have it so that if you go off the track at the wrong way and cant recover, you are booted from the race. But, if you EDR before time runs out, you can at least get back in one piece and not lose all your XP

Magnus&Jaexen I think it should be that you collect cars and if you don’t finish a realm you lose that car/any experience gained. When you edr it is cut in half. When you finish you get the full amount of xp.you can also have your car crash and take damage

Well, my acceleracers game will be like Smurfy game, if u dont know him he is a roblox content creator and with the help of group of friend's he is doing acceleracers and world race realms, its a work in progress but if u didn't play it I recommend u to do it, its a fun game

If I wear to build my own Acceleracers game, I'd redo the movies. VR, 100%POV, and integration with the characters. Characters would actually interact directly with the player. Sometimes it'd be direct and important, sometimes just peripheral, where you just happen to be the person they looked at. I.E., "what's his problem?" I'd also see if I could sneak a handful of 'extra' realms in. Each movie did 2 Realms, aside from the last one, and they did Cave, Lava, Ice, Cliffside, and Ruins Realms as standalones, giving us a grand total of 12, plus 4 from the Drone's Accelechargers makes 16. I was pretty sure there were somewhere in the 28-32 range on the Wheel. And yes, I would include the loops before entering the Wheel. Each. And. Every. Time. There would be a "Select Your Own Car" option, which would allow you to input the name of a car you owned (or knew the name of), and the system would ping a server to get you that car. This feature would be as a DLC microtransaction, due to the cost of modeling the cars. Any car that was actually referenced in any Acceleracers media would be included with the game, and be immediately selectable. (Though they would be Team-Locked. No driving Spinebuster if you're in the Teku.) Only cars that were being manufactured under the Hot Wheels marque between 2000 and 2008 would be modeled for the DLCs (so we don't overreach trying to build everything), and would be released in Blocks by season and year. (Spring 04 comes out before Fall 07) While not racing, you'd be able to free-roam around the entire Acceledrome, both in your car, and on foot. Certain rooms would be locked, but, if you lurk long enough....or pick a lock/swipe a key, you could get in. You could even leave the Acceladrome, but going further than the old HQ would result in a lecture from Dr. Tezla. There would also be a "Name" DLC, so that the characters can call you by name. For just 19.99 USD, you can type out a name, add in a pronunciation, and have your name called out on the P.A. when a race is starting, or when a character wants to get your attention. Please allow 1-3 business days for your purchase to be applied, as the voice actors will have to actually say your name. Variations of names like I. C. Wiener, Ben Dover, Mike Rotch, and the like will not be permitted. This is supposed to be child safe!

We can only hope for a remaster (unlikely) or the release of the remaining script that never got to be utilized for acceleracers. Such a same that they made an amazing job with both world race and acceleracers and they were forced to drop it.
