As an Elder-Goth adjacent person who at nearly 64 still dyes my hair a purply black-brown, wears plenty of black clothing, goes to concerts, yeah, I'm fully into the Death side of this palette. The Love side needs not just a golden shade (like a pale satiny matte maize), but I'd also have loved to have seen a green/bronze/burgundy multichrome and a really rich reddish chocolate brown matte, too.

After you said that these shades can be used in multiple ways, my whole perspective on it changed complitely! Whereas before I thought I'm not going to get this palette because of the reds being too similar, now I see that they would make such stunning blushes and I have to have it now! :D

I was already talking myself out of the palette because of how monochromatic the Love side is, but - as someone who owns a lot of Nomad palettes - those comparisons definitely did the trick. Thanks for saving me money, yet again! The look you created is beautiful, though. They sell the shadows as individual singles, so I might pick up a couple of shimmers whenever I (inevitably) place another order from them -- probably during their epic Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales.

I think this is beautiful and I love the concept of Verona and Romeo and Juliet. If the variety in depth and tone was better on the Love side, it'd be perfect. I'm tempted by this for sure, it's on my Black Friday maybe list.

I love pinks and was expecting to like that more but I agree, the midtones look too similar. I don’t think they should’ve brought in other colours but maybe changed some colours, like a light baby pink, a coral, a bubblegum pink, a true raspberry, the bright red and the burgundy are ok.

Thank you for your thoroughness, as always! When I first saw the teasers of this I was mesmerized, but when I saw the full thing I did have hesitations about the red side being too similar. I have both the Whistler Snow Lodge and the Provance palette, so as much as I loooove the theming I’m wondering if I really need this! They really got me with the Shakespearean theme ❤️‍🔥🎭

I got hooked on Nomad last year and Whister Snow Lodge was my first palette from them, and then I got the Fetes De Provence and Hudson Valley and I love them all lol. I also picked up this palette and I'm excited for it to come, but i didn't realize that in the Fetes De Provemce their were some similar shades lol oh well. This look is stunning of course! I was so excited for the pink side bc finally a very pink palette but now everyone is saying the shades are similar but now I'm excited for the darker side.

Your eye look is stunning. Yes, more looks! I tried to resist buying this because my palette collection is so large. But I don't own any Valentine's Day themed palettes. And I really love all of my Nomad palettes. So I gave into temptation. I agree, I would've preferred if one of the light pink mattes had been swapped out. Personally, a green-gold or a deep wine would have made it perfect. Btw, your newfound love of lashes is gently persuading me to start using them :)

I agree. A peach leaning golden matte color and a much deeper red toned color as well as a very warm toned pastel type of pinky color would have done a lot to diversify the love side of the palette.

I'd say that you're definitely a "blurple" (blue-purple) eyeshadow girl. But kudos on trying new things! Occasionally I'll wear lashes too (I'm talking like, a few times a year), but I've found that the Kiss lash glue liner has helped me apply them so much easier!

I've been waiting for your red comparisons with Hudson Valley! I love Apple Picking and Wine Harvest from Hudson Valley and was wondering if the red shades in Verona were more red or pink. They're more pink, so I can pass. Apple Picking is my most true red shade and Wine Harvest deepens it so beautifully. But if there were a red shade even more red than Apple Picking (more so when it blends out), I would've been very excited about that.

I've seen multiple reviews of this palette and quite a few people have struggled with the shadows. I like the general aesthetic of the palette, but I'm happy to pass. Likely will shop my stash though 🤔 For example, Club Nebula seems to dupe quite a few of the deeper mattes. Your look is lovely, once again 👍🏻

I know a lot of people are saying the pinks are similar but as an olive the difference really show up, especially when using just the single shade to build and blend. Also they effect the look if you use them to blend out the death side. Again I'm an Olive so there is definitely difference for me.

This packaging is the same style as the doomed palette they made and then discontinued after it was not well received by the Asian community. I think it was shanghai themed.

Nope it's totally fine as long as you're careful during application/removal and you use eye safe makeup! I've comfortably used it for years... it's glitter that is my no-no 🤗
