Another great tutorial, Glen. Thank you. A lot to take in immediately for a 3D novice like me, but your videos are well worth revisiting for a refresh and helping me to enjoy my new nomadic lifestyle.

I like that ‘nomadic lifestyle’ perfect for what we do lol.

@@SouthernGFX I'm retired for medical reasons and trying to keep myself mentally-artistically active during Covid as well as a fully paid-up member of the digital 21st century by learning new skills. Procreate and Nomad are both absolutely brilliant tools and particularly useful in my situation. My stuff is nowhere near as good as the paintings and sculpts posted by other much more gifted artists, but that doesn't bother me (well, ok, I admit it does bother me a little bit☹️). More important is remaining creative, exploring and having fun along the way.

Man I wish forger had cut and split like this! Thanks again for your amazing instruction!

Hello first of all thanks for all the good explanations for forger and nomad. one tool is absolutely unclear to me in its function, the project tool. trim and split are self-explanatory but how and what is the project tool for. I would be happy about an explanation. if you had time for it? best regards marko

Great video, I’d love a video on some of the key things to understand for 3D printing, as a beginner I have no idea and not to sure where to start to gather the correct info. Thanks for your videos 🙏

Can this be rendered into 2D images (JPG, PNG, etc.) or it can only be exported into 3D assets?
@shawngrignon40204 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to export painting in nomad? When I import into blender as .glb it has no material. Seems like it would be hard for most programs to get all the materials that you painted in nomad just right, with some parts of the surface more reflective than others.. Painting objects on ipad is way more fun for me, but it seems kind of pointless if I can't get it to look the same in other programs. Thanks for your tips!

You can only get vertex painting out for now. I hope they add more options

Hi, great videos, do you have any tricks for sculpting eyes in nomad? Find it very hard without making the file huge, once it's huge it creates other problems. I would love to see a video on sculpting human eyes, I assume many other struggle with this specific area as well👍 Best Regards
@SouthernGFX4 жыл бұрын
Depends what you mean buddy. In production we would have to make biologically accurate eyes with the pupil as a hole, the lens separate and transparent etc. In Nomad I just use a painted sphere with a little bit of sculpting on the front if needed.
@MaN2Mega4 жыл бұрын
@@SouthernGFX Well, Nomad is not really a production tool and I am in no way a professional 😅 I'm just referring to making eyes that you see in classical statues, or as near as it's possible to get in Nomad. If you have any tips and tricks on that or anything else to do with eyes, we amateurs would like to see them in a video 👍😎

Another great vid, I've shared a few with friends. Any chance for explaining alphas within nomad for texture sculpting? The ones I've seen ie industrial tubing look like you just drag it across and the tubing just forma beautifully. The ones I've downloaded don't do anything like that! Are they meant to be jpegs as well as the paint alphas?

Of course. Leave It with me.

Thanks for making those decent Videos! :) I already made some Sculpts and would like to refine and finish them on Zbrush and Keyshot, but the exported .glb file wont open on Zbrush or Keyshot 9, any idea what I can do? ;)

In forger, can you obliterate your paint job? So get rid of all of it and start over?
