My wife and I are touring South America with our dog in a Promaster and have driven all over Mexico in winter because we’re retired. We’ve done the Algodones tooth tour and saved thousands, but Mexico in winter is glorious, gorgeous beaches campgrounds at $15 a night right on the water and the food of course. Never had a problem with crooks or cops. Now we’re in South America and it’s just as fun, but are there Americans here? Hardly any - all the RVs are from Europe and Brazil (!) and some from Canada. Too bad Americans are so scared. I’ll see you when I get back as I have some solar upgrades I’d like.

I'm not big on fish but, LUPITA'S fish and Shrimp Taco's are excellent there. The small stand often has big lines. Luckily I went at an off time and only a small line of maybe only 8. There's tables in the back. 🌮🌮🌮 🍺

I just spent a week in Los Algodones. The locals are so friendly, I went for Dental but loved the town. 111 degrees one day...lol. PS) I speak spanish from living in Venezuela in the 80s, so I had a lot of fun talking with the locals.

I think this is the dental capital of Mexico. Lots of Americans & Canadians come here to save on dental. I had implants done a few years ago. Seemed very safe.

Brad, I went there in February for the dentist. I am gonna go back 2 more times. Some of the dentists include hotel in the price of the work. Would reccomend eceryone to go down there.

I stayed at Queoham RV Park at Los Algodonas, or there Casino, and American Cannel for Free. Queoham closed RV park and just have Parking lot. There is Bus Service to border.

That looked like a lot of fun. I learned to cut my husband's hair in a fade and even trim my own (and maintain the shape, it's not just staight across). Don't like seafood either. Just occasional tuna fish with lots of mayo and sweet relish.

Yes, it takes a lot longer to get across the boarder in a vehicle due to their inspection process. Since I was just going for a day trip it made sense to just park in America and walk over

I used my passport but I have heard people going with just a drivers license

Even without a passport US citizens cannot be denied entry but it will take all day as they need to verify your citizenship and they won’t be in a hurry. Long hours in a windowless room waiting. Give it a try. You might like it.
