To most tourists, investors, and entrepreneurs alike, living in Europe can feel like a dream. Including or excluding Schengen countries, there are countless countries in Eastern Europe that are worth checking out.
Countries like Portugal, Latvia, and Bulgaria give off so much appeal when it comes to their taxation policies, the lifestyle they offer, and everyday life. The comprehensive appeal stirs a great desire for people to want to live there.
But can you actually get an EU citizenship? Which countries offer the easiest path to obtain an EU citizenship? Having a European passport is not merely about owning the passport. It’s a way for you to set up and incorporate your own business in the region without having to pay hefty taxes for non-citizens.
In this video, Andrew shares some of the best European citizenships to obtain.

Thank you --- FINALLY -- someone who has it right about Ireland / UK. There have been so many people who offer "citizenship and investment advice" who say "with Brexit now UK residents in Ireland or Irish residents in UK will have problems" ---- anyone says that RUN as they don't know what they are talking about. Treaty from 1930s allows UK citizens to live and work (and vote except for President --- likely because in 1930s Ireland did not yet have President so would not be in treaty) and allows Irish Citizens to live / work / vote in UK. Predates EU, not impacted by Brexit. Andrew knows what he is talking about and is first one I've seen to get that right --- "go where you're treated best" aided by those "who have studied laws / rules / regs best"!

I am a UK citizen and have been living in Northern Ireland for almost two decades. I also studied in Ireland. Simple answer , being a British citizen or an Irish citizen gives a reciprocal rights to live and work in the UK/ Ireland. This is under a separate agreement between the two countries pre-existing EU Brexit . This also keeps the door open for the British citizens to keep their options open for any need to take Irish citizenship in future to avail EU rights

@Pat Risberg I'm afraid ESG is another nice acronym resulting from a cosmetic operation to continue to exploit the people and resources of the world with no concerns other than profitability...before sustainability became a "concern" for inverstor, investors were exploiting under the disguise of development, progress and democracy for the locals. People have never been a concern... but profitability. Taxes are mandatory for the SUSTAINABILITY of countries and social fabrics. But as soon countries are a bit more taxes fair you people tag them of EVIL. You carry in one hand money and in the other the bible which you have never read other wise you would learn about sharing and also that you don't carry with you the wealth when leave to heaven. p.s.; about the USA, I am not sure to share the view as I do not see the possible birth of a new paradigm, but rather a "return to the past" to embrace old models.

For US citizens seeking Italian citizenship by descent (jure sanguinis) it could be a long and arduous task. As an example, the wait time to get an appointment with the Italian consulate in the San Francisco area is 3 years out. This is due to covid. Then one must add up to another year to complete the process. The quickest way is to move to Italy, get a permesso di soggiorno (permission to stay) and then apply for citizenship; it can be done in about a year. Remember: nothing moves fast in Italy and you may still face slow roadblocks. Patience is needed.

So once again I have not gone back and watched all your videos. But just in talking to people that I know who are traveling I would be very interested in seeing some stuff on your opinions of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. I know several people that have been traveling that area they feel it’s fairly cheap to live there they used to think the people were very friendly. But with Russia starting the war and things being so aggressive in their minds and it may just be their thinking or it may be true they feel like as Americans they’re being singled out and there’s been a lot of negative comments and negative attitude towards them in that part of the country. I would be real interested in seeing some stuff about how you feel about those countries for investment and for visiting both. And I know you have a lot of connections to Georgia which It seams has basically been taken back over by Russia politically now so I don’t know how much your thoughts on Georgia have changed over some of the videos you put out a couple years ago.

I just have an ordinary income but I like your videos nevertheless, also because of your attitude. And I like the sentence "go where you are treated best". One of the reasons why I applied for a Serbian passport is that this country of my parents was by far not as authoritarian like Germany during the pandemic, where the country wanted to criminalize bodily autonomy regarding vaccination. That opened my eyes and I am not so much interested anymore in the German citizenship or living there again with a brainwashed population by state TV channels like ARD and ZDF and corporate news companies. I might apply for a Swiss citizenship additionally, which is a less authoritarian country than Germany in my experience. I find it interesting that the former fascist countries, Germany, Austria and Italy were so authoritarian during the pandemic.

Talk about options . Probably nobody amongst the commentators here is more confused than I am at 55. I am a British citizen. My youngest son is British and the eldest son is American. I have Bangladeshi citizenship as well. My mother and other siblings are American citizens. I worked in the US for sometime. My present wife is Canadian and my step children are Canadians. Lived and worked in Ireland for sometime. I also lived in Australia for sometime. I am considering settling in the US simply because of being able to choose amongst many states if not happy in one. Canada is mostly empty and the weather can be good to worst. Australian weather is great but that great weather is limited to only a few areas. But I did find.

Ireland v Bay Area Ca Ireland's forests, if they have any don't even compare Ireland's beaches absolutely don't compare Irish weather SUCKS compared to the Bay Area Name one natural wonder in Ireland that is as stunning as Yosemite as a whole, I'll wait. There are other National Parks in Ca, I wonder which one is on the level as Ireland? Perhaps a local regional park, would be my guess. The food is about the same. The pay is about the same. Winner - Bay Area CA 100% THE REIGNING, DEFENDING, UNDISPUTED CHAMPION OF THE WORLD - THE AMAZING BAY AREA CA. Andrew has decided to crack on yesterday's question, and has decided not to accept the challenge. He liked my comment yesterday and then quickly deleted that like. With that said, I'll challenge the group: Help me find a location that is better than the Bay Area. If the weather sucks (hot muggy summers, freezing winters, lack of consistent sunshine), it doesn't count.

Ireland has fine areas of woodland, especially in Kerry and Wicklow. They are more accessible that the woods of northern California. Ireland has excellent beaches, white and sandy in Donegal, yellow and sandy on the east coast - all frequently deserted. Irish weather and Bay Area weather are not all that different, while Ireland lacks the micro-climates of the Bay Area which makes it impossible to know what to wear in that part of Northern California. Name one natural wonder in Ireland that is as stunning as Yosemite as a whole: the Burren, Killarney, Wicklow at three. All are more accessible that Yoesemite. Unlike the Bay Area, which I like very much, Ireland is not built on a fault-line and never suffers earthquakes. It also has no critters that will kill and eat you, while Irish people are more sincere and warm.

@@taintabird23 Looked up your first natural wonder "the burren". This is a total stretch and you've never been to Yosemite in your life. Like I said, a regional park in CA is comparable. What makes them "more accessible"? Ireland has a cool and damp climate. The amount of sunshine in the Bay Area vs Ireland isn't anywhere near the same. It's sunny in the Bay. Are you actually making a case for Irish beaches vs California Beaches? Come on... Good to hear the Irish are more sincere and warm, that's a big plus.

@@woofytwoshoes7711 I don't know what you mean by 'a total stretch', and while I have never been to Yosemite, I know it is a beautiful place. Everywhere in Ireland is more accessible and easy to get to because the country is small. Indeed, the whole of Ireland is a beautiful place. Its can be sunny in the Bay area in one place, and foggy and cold in another. That can happen in Ireland also, but Ireland lacks the Bay Area extremes over just a few square miles. There are other plusses to Ireland that California lacks: in Ireland you can reach other European countries quickly and easily to experience their culture and cuisine, cheaply and easily. Fancy breakfast in Ireland and lunch in Venice, Paris or Stockholm? I can be easily done in Ireland.

@@taintabird23 Yeah. You don't know about Yosemite at all which is why you're making these comparisons. Save the West Side of SF down to Pacifica, it's sunny with great weather in most of the Bay, you're exaggerating the situation severely. Obvious you have absolutely no idea about not just Yosemite but the greater Bay Area. You googled this bit about "foggy in one place, sunny in another", that is obvious. I can't argue the proximity to Europe. Good point. Same goes for us with flying to San Diego, LA, Vegas, Seattle, Vancouver, etc. Not saying Ireland isn't beautiful but it's ridiculous to attempt to argue that Ireland has more natural beauty than California. Perhaps it's your opinion, but it's absolutely not the opinion of most, and you know it. I'm looking for somewhere better than the Bay. Ireland isn't it, for we Bay Area Californians are totally spoiled when it comes to nature and weather, unlike the Irish.

@@woofytwoshoes7711 I've spent time in the Bay Area, and my wife is from there. She lived in Burlingame and her parents in Pacifica. You don't know about Ireland at all, which is why you are making the comparisons...including comparing San Diego and LA with Paris, Venice and Stockhom - Vancouver is the only city outside your country. Only you can explain why you are comparing California with Ireland on a video about European citizenships. In any case, it is the opinion of most that Ireland is far more beautiful than California - especially Californians. While there are beautiful places in California, indeed in every country, you will not find such variation of beauty in such a small area in California as you will in Ireland. You will not have to drive such great distances to access it. That's just a fact. You never heard of the Burren, know nothing of the Wild Atlantic Way and oddly compare LA, which is in the same state, with European cities. California is a fine place. If I was to move to the US, the Bay Area would be my choice. But comparing California to Ireland is a fools errand, it is hard to know why are you are doing it. Cheers!
