I think that a good strategy for European folks would be getting citizenship somewhere in another continent like America for example because being all european countries so cramped with each other if one enters into a war is difficult to everyone near the place so it doesn't give much options if that happens if you have another citizenship of the same continent. It's different for Americans (people from the American continent) if a war happens between Chile and Bolivia, the people from Canada couldn't worry less about it.

Continuation: after deciding the continent (no much options given that almost all Africa and Asia don't allow dual citizenship), you'll need to decide how much work are you willing to do to get the 2nd citizenship... If the answer is zero, a caribbean citizenship by investment like Andrew mentioned should the best option, if you're willing to put the time on the ground something in South America should be interesting as we have Mercosur and their laws allows people of south america to move freely between the continent.

I hold UK citizenship by birth and Irish citizenship by decent, and live in Germany (for approaching 5 years). The German government are, unsurprisingly, dragging their heels re. providing any clarity on proposed changes to citizenship rules. My wife and l have a dilemma (she's just a UK citizen, and desperately wants to regain EU citizenship as it's important to her identity); do we stay in Germany in the hope of possibly being able to start the citizenship via naturalisation application process for her soon, or do we move (for lifestyle reasons, eg. a more amenable climate and friendlier people) to Southern Portugal and therefore reset the clock. At least with Portugal, we know it's theoretically a 5 year approx process, in a, potentially, better environment for us. But we don't want to 'waste' the time we've accumulated in Germany. Additionally, is there any advantage to me also obtaining another EU passport, either a German one (if they decide to allow duel citizenship) or, perhaps more attractive, a Portuguese one? I know it would shorten the time to get citizenship in both Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries for example, which could open up Latin America to us in the future. Surely, the more options in general the better, even if it's still in the EU? We could always look further afield at a later date when our situation and means permit.

I don't think so, the uk is a broke country that is definitely moving in the wrong direction they are proposing wealth taxes and more taxes for entrepreneurs and investors. a lot ot wealthy brits are moving to tax heavens so it's possible that they implement a citizenship based taxation. they are also promoters of minimum global taxes for companies and the quality of life is definitely really bad for living, dating and certainly for doing business. if you wanna see central london you can always visit the country.

Try one of the British Overseas Territories if the Home Counties are not to your liking and your operations permit it. It's not uncommon for millionaires and billionaries to, for example, set up in the Cayman Islands (a BOT) and work towards UK citizenship there. For those pursuing French citizenship, do likewise; check to see which of their overseas territories will allow you to work via residency towards citizenship. You don't have to be in the metropole to acquire citizenship in a world-spanning state most of the time.
