we have been living off and on in TR over the past 12 years. We had a RP for about 6 years with breaks in between. I cannot understand why anybody from the US would consider a TR passport, unless you are from the Middel east or have family there. Inflation has skyrocketed over the past years; the locals can hardly get buy. They overcharge you for everything you purchase. They do not like US politics, you will feel and hear it on a regular basis. If you do decide to go just purchase real estate worth at least 200k and get a RP to test the waters. Food is amazing and beautiful sceneries.

So funny to see people say they don’t want to serve in the Turkish army 😂 Guys if you have double citizenship, in case of war and army call you take the first flight out if you happen to live in Turkiye in the first place when a war of that extent breaks out. And, if you’re above the age of 21 when you acquire Turkish citizenship, there is no compulsory service. Worst case, you can pay 180k TL to not serve.

I don't think Russians are fleeing Russia anymore. In fact they are bringing their wealth and passport back. However, it is still a very very popular passport for Ukraine and they are rich with exit money now. The Turkish CBI program will stay number one for a long time to come.

I would not say that citizenship is a "commodity". A commodity is an economic good, usually a resource, that specifically has full or substantial fungibility: that is, the market treats instances of the good as equivalent or nearly so with no regard to who produced them. A passport is not a commodity on that basis.
