I have several multimillionaire relatives who were once married but by the time they became super wealthy simply decided it's fine to stay single, rich and enjoy life. Another myth in life is that you must have a partner. No, you don't. The most important relationship is with yourself.

I agree with what you said. Because I feel the same way. Although I am open to having companionship and a partner to travel and do things well. I'm not much for the traditional sense of marriage. Having children and getting married in my opinion is overrated and it's not for everyone. I'm 45 and I speak from experience and my children are 29 + 21. While I love them if I had to choose again I would have never had children. And I've been single for quite a few years. I had a spiritual awakening and I chose to work on myself. So I put me first I choose happiness over compromising my joy just to make someone else happy. I have to live my best life to make me happy not the life that others feel I should live. That's just my personal opinion. That being said both of my children thank God are really good human beings. They are successful entrepreneurs as well and we do have a good relationship the three of us.

I will answer for him. The PHILLIPINES..lol Once you find a girl that isn't just scaming foreigners for money. The women there are amazing. But there is a high chance you will end up with a woman who already have children. Unless you find a very young woman. 18-25 may not have kids. Then there is a chance the women are still legally married. They don't have divorce there they have annulments. That cost about 5k american to get that. But are you really looking for love? My girlfriend is so amazing. I spent 20 days there with her and her family and it was so amazing. The people are so amazing and friendly. Food is so amazing. They also have 7,000 islands with only 4,000 that are habited. I am sure there are other countries where dating is great. But phillipines is english friendly.

Tremendous value in this video. Thanks Andrew. This is where I am currently at in my life. Self discovery and exploration. I quit my corporate job of 14 years back in September, and bought a one-way ticket to Southern Mexico (San Cristobal de las casas). I’m now off the grid in a small town on lake Atitlan in Guatemala. A transition period to recalibrate and get clear on my go forward plan. I have a business plan that I will be staring up in 6 months. I’ve always had a strong desire to live abroad. Initially, I was more of a off the grid natural elements kind of guy but I’m learning as far as having more social community and conveniences, that eventually I want more of a balance mix modern and nature. As things open up I plan to do a Eastern Europe tour and get a feel for what it’s like there.

True. And many places outside the US sex is for marriage only. Unless you want a father wanting to cut off part of your anatomy, best to learn what is acceptable before you go. Dating may only be seen as leading to marriage if honorable. While you are at it, etiquette goes a long way to impress a new culture: American men may have a less than stellar reputation abroad because of the way they treat women. The same goes for American women, who may be seen as prostitutes because of how sex is learned about overseas (movies or porn).

So happy that you talked about dating/marriage as an expat nomad. However, the advice wouldn't work well for single women. I've lived the expat life for the last 5 years, in and around Asia and the MiddleEast, men from wealthy countries can easily find a local woman to marry, start a business, and a family. Whereas expat single woman, not exactly the case, especially if they are from wealthy countries. I've seen a total of 3 women, who married local men (when I was living in Thailand). Why is this the case? Culture, language barriers, family dynamics and traditions, wealth and legacy. A western man can marry a woman 20 years his junior in Bangkok, and it's a win win for him and his new wife (and her family), because of the dowry, passport, status, and opportunity the wife (and her family), will get. When it comes to children, building a business, owning property, visa, the western husband will have access (foreigners cannot own land) because of his wife. He gets a young, educated, business savvy wife. Win win. I have no qualms about this (if I were gay, I totally would marry a local woman). However, expat women. This scenario would never happen, as the local family would not want to give their wealth to a foreign woman, would not be able to pass down their language, culture, traditions, and religion to a foreign daughter in law (only case in a Muslim country the religion is passed down by the father), most importantly, they fear that the foreign woman would take away their son back to her country (in many countries daughter in laws take care of the parents). So, expat women have a very very small dating pool. Dating and marrying other expat men, or the few local men that is of their same social class. I've seen both done before. But, it's hard, as expat men prefer local women, and foreign women who do marry local men, have to learn the language, adapt the culture and traditions of her husband and family, etc. So, female expat nomads, especially from the west, my advice is rest more in your femininity, learn the local language, figure out what's really important to you, and be prepared to compete lol

As someone from Asia I can confirm to you that the West does have a bad reputation, & when it comes to marrying Asians, there's multiple stories of the mother taking the child and leaving the country after divorce and turned the kids against the father. I'm not sure how the West view divorce but for Asians we need both parents to be there although they're divorce, you can't make the kids hate a parent. We don't want our children to be taken away from us. Children are very valuable and precious. Speaking about divorces I known a lot of children with divorce parents. And parents have to play a part in their lives. Taking the child away from the father is a huge big no-no. & I've seen so many western films portray women leaving the husband with their children or singers that have issues with their father figures. Which is not a good example/portrayal. Asians like to work things out, although I know few don't. All of my divorced family members work with their divorced parents, having relationship with both of them from when they were young till they grow old and have their own family. They still stick together. And about the difference in cultures I agree, Asian women and the West were brought up culturally different so they act different and sometimes some people have an issue with it. From my perspective the only issue I've seen are the West not having much self-control in general. Not to say everyone is like that. Women in my family for one has full control over the family fully. But that's just my family maybe. They're very educated. Some are the breadwinner of the family like my mom. The West has a different standard I guess. But I honestly don't know, I think there's someone out there for you really. Because nowadays people are much more open thankfully but to asians culture is very important.

I would find it hard for Nomad Capitalist to speak on behalf of expat women, rather interviewing a female nomad capitalist would be better. I'm part of several expat female Facebook groups, the latest one: Istanbul, as this is my current location, and subjects like: egg freezing, marriage and taking husbands name, divorce, finding gynecologist, dating, are subjects only experienced expat women can talk about. As well as buying property as a single woman, opening a bank account, and starting a business. It's understandable why there aren't as many female nomad capitalist, because women expats either: follow their spouses job, move overseas for work or volunteering, hold a dual citizenship, or meet a foreign man and settle in his country. Very few women take the risks of starting a business abroad on their own. Let alone have the money to do it. I'm in the process of doing this, but I taught English while starting my business on the side. The few foreign women entrepreneurs that I met are either married, and have their spouse to provide the necessary capital to start their business, have a dual citizenship so they don't have to worry about a visa, or use their savings (after years working in the corporate world) to start their business. Fundraising as a female founder, in a foreign land is very difficult, so women entrepreneurs I met already had money (family money in particular), to start their business. So with all the barriers to live a expat life as an entrepreneur, finding a husband, on top of starting your own business, is difficult, not impossible, as I've seen it done. You will have to be very clever, very strategic, and focused to find man that will financially and emotionally support you **and** your business. If you want kids, be prepared to have hired help or postpone kids. Luckily in SE Asia hiring help is affordable option. I lived in Israel, Thailand, China, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Kazakhstan, and now Turkey. I've met many exceptional women founders, but the thing they all had in common was that they were married to men that supported their businesses, and if they had kids, they worked from home while managing their businesses. The really successful ones had no kids. I believe women can have it all, just not at the same time...and the few that did have it all, had incredible supportive husbands (but few men are willing to put their careers second after their wives). It all comes down to choosing your "sacrifice (delay having kids, not having kids, living uncomfortable for the short term, etc.)," and finding a life partner that wants the same (as well as his family).

@@vlad-igor thanks for sharing. Asia is a very big continent, so I would say that marriage in many parts of Asia is about **two families** legally coming together, not just two individuals like in the West. Wealth, business, property, inheritance, even access to schools and jobs are very much tied to families. A persons social class, religion, or clan very much plays a role in their identity, so people rarely marry out of their class. They're a few exceptions, but marriage and relationships in many parts of Asia is not just about two individuals in love. Hence why foreign women, depending on their race, religion, class, and beauty will have a hard time finding a local partner. As there are expectations, traditions, and a role a daughter in law plays to her husband's family. I lived in Thailand for about 3 years, the wealthiest families maintain their wealth, power, and influence through strategic marriages. Even middle class Thais understand that marriage between social classes are not openly accepted. Foreign western men with wealth may marry a "hi-so Thai" or a bar girl, but is only accepted if he has money (and is expected to support the wife and her family). Poor men, cannot socially climb. I've seen exceptions. When I lived in Bangkok I dated a Finnish guy, and he supported me and my business while I was teaching English. But I met so many single Western women who had a hard time finding boyfriends/husbands because the dating pool was simply too small. And Thai men would not seriously date them with the purpose of marriage, as their families would never accept them. In conclusion, children are an extension of their families, and when it comes to marriage and wealth, a woman adds to her husband's family by being the caretaker, manage the family business (Thailand has the most female leaders in business in the world), and pass down the family traditions and culture. A foreign woman, depending on the culture/religion she's marrying into along with her own family, will have a very hard time fulfilling these responsibilities (as women are the gatekeepers of culture).

terrific discussion. I just left Medellin. It was obvious that many ladies there were deeply rooted in their homes. A nomadic lifestyle isn't in the cards for them. That said I do know some women (a bit too young for me, personally) who were moving around Colombia a fair bit. So while there are generalities, individual partners vary a lot. Always interesting to listen to A.H.'s outlook on life. Most guys don't seem to know how to talk about emotions, but Mr. Henderson does, and that's refreshing. His ideas can make you wonder about things such as internal validation versus external validation. For better or worse, it seems most people are externally validated -- cities, money, weather, and so on. But to Mr. Henderson's credit, he does broach the subject of looking deep within oneself to find who you really are.

So far I've been to 6 countries and most, I wouldn't go back to because of the cold reception and/or not feeling physically safe. I'm excited about traveling to many asian countries since I grew up around several asian communities. I just looking forward to finding where I'm treated best. 😍

Since you mentioned the desire to travel to Asian countries a few places to consider- South Korea, Japan or Myanmar. Those areas are known for safety for women of color and a single woman travelling alone. You may want to consider getting a dating match maker to help 'screen' the guys or join a women's group (on some hobby you have) there is often someone that is a match maker in the group (Lol). This matchmaker will 'snap to it' once she knows your single. Africa is not the best place for a Western woman of color to look for love. The culture and the views in some of those countries about women is a nightmare for a Western woman.

What color matters. For example, if you're Indian, you'll get treated very differently in Pakistan than if you're black, but Americanisms lump all 3 of the groups involved into the same category. Similarly, different parts of Spain have different attitudes towards Moors, and South Africa is a dangerous place for whites these days, but no one is chanting "Kill the Zulu". Even within Africa, which specific ethnicity of African you might be makes a huge difference in some countries that have long standing ethnic conflicts. You might not know the difference, but they will. Lastly, if you're an Arab or Turk, many Slavic countries aren't going to be particularly friendly to you, especially in the Balkans, who had to fight and die for their independence from Turkey just 100 years ago

@@aquilomanganelli175 marriage was created to inhibit woman's nature to share one man (see Gengis Kahn). In the past days of Kings and Lord's, it would be a few handful of men and hundreds of women. In those days Marriage was necessary as it served as a buffer. To prevent homogenous genes from causing incest Unfortunately now, marriage is still used even though women can work jobs and have relative safety from civilized society's hard work and ingenuity. The laws need to catch up. Divorce allocations is such a thing of the past but we still have this stupid belief that every woman is entitled the man's money. Russia is a great option for guys, of all the countries that I have traveled to is one of the best, in Europe my simple recommendation is to stick to non-EU countries which are completely socially engineered presently and terrible in general for younger guys. For Asia, I have heard many great things about Philippines and perhaps Thailand in certain cases. My KZbin channel people can watch regarding this area which my channel heavily focuses on. My brother lived 2.5 years in Estonia and one of the big deal breakers of him leaving even with a long-term business visa in Estonia was what you mentioned Andrew, the fact that for a foreign guy Estonia is simply put terrible for finding a wife. My brother is now in a happy relationship with his girlfriend in St. Petersburg Russia and he also likes the lifestyle and perspective of life in Russia. Also, like yourself Andrew he is interested in marriage and many European countries this will never happen if you are a foreign guy which is why I tell people stay out of EU, if possible.

@@havegunwilltravel6398 Great point here and totally agree with you on this point but anyhow I have lived in both EU and Non-EU and it was a night and day difference. In fact if I lived in EU would rather just live in the larger more liberal countries as those places would be more open minded in my opinion. Many central European countries, "Want their cake and to eat it too" metaphorically speaking and makes it terrible in some of these places for foreign dating compared to countries like Russia, Belarus, or Serbia. After moving to Serbia at this point if I moved back to EU would only live in the liberal countries like Sweden or Spain if I were to do it again.

That's where I'm at right now. I'm 45 I've been single for quite a few years. My kids are adults ages 29 and 21. So with planning I can live anywhere that I want. I can run my businesses anywhere. For me my focus is on meditation alternative Lifestyles with focus on holistic nature care. I choose to be somewhere that is sunny warm weather beautiful nature good quality pure organic food good clean water and of course it must be safe in a friendly fun area for me. I don't like cold weather. II am from Michigan but lived in new york and texas. prefer warm and some fall like weather. I definitely wouldn't mind having companionship. Like a partner someone to do things with travel and create things with. However I'm just not interested in marriage in a traditional way. I feel like relationships can be so restricting a lot of times. However you can have a long-term relationship with someone and just choose to not get married and it's perfectly okay. I choose and create my own happiness not anyone else. I'm using voice to text so sometimes my sentences will be scattered so I apologize in advance.
