What wattage does the X3 need as far as matching solar panels to power it?

I notice the fan on top is somewhat exposed to the elements. How does it handle snow and ice in the winter? Do you need to install some sort of cover through the winter to protect it? Any issues in summer with rain falling into the top fan?

Is it safe to install the outside unit vertically on a 379 Peterbilt?

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to mount vertically, but we're working on making that a possibility in the future.

I’d do anything to replace the monstrosity that came on my Revel. The AC unit is too damn big and even with my RoamRig Stage 3 it will suck those batteries dry, especially living in AZ.
