I have been following Deepanshu Sangwan (Nomadic Indian) since 2019 and I never thought that he will visit Semkhor village which is very remote place where there is no electricity, no proper road, no water facilities I mean no basic infrustucture facilities. I know very well about Semkhor village because it's only 4 or 5 KM frm my village that is Guilong village. We share the same road,same market,same jhum cultivation place etc.

Please 🙏 don't judge the whole community by judging a single person, there are good & bad people in every community, If there is positive there will be negative & if there is negative there will also be positive, If u faced problems in SBI, then it's a normal thing, every employees attitude is same in SBI, & every person in there home town shows dada giri, Example in Harangajao Hmar people shows dada giri to dimasa people in Hmar majority village area.

Some lesser known facts about Semkhor n Semsa people:- 1, They practiced head hunting. 2,They protected Maibang from head hunters. 3,Although they r surrounded by Zeme Naga villages, and can speak both Dimasa n zeme languages they have more in common with Konyak Nagas. 4, According to Britishers like J.P Mills, Semsas could be descendents of Konyak Nagas who were appointed as Bodyguards of Dimasa Kings.

Don't mislead people without knowing the facts. Semsa is a sub-tribe of Dimasa just like (Hasaosa, Hawarsa,Dijuwasa, Hamrisa & Dembrasa) Neither Semsas are head hunters, so know the definition of head hunting first... Semsas are decendents of elite soldiers of Dimasa Kingdom who belong to Phonglosa, Haflongbarsa, Langthasa, Sengyungsa and one particular clan . Who safeguarded the couple of salt wells located around Shemkhor Village since mid 16th century. Salt used to be the very precious compound then.

Thank you for helping us see a place that we may have never found ourselves seeing. There are so many people that comprise the Indian subcontinent and the country itself, but we never get a chance to see them. It was amazing to see new tribes to myself speaking Hindi and being able to understand each other. I was a little surprised when at some points in the video it seemed your accent changed in Hindi and I began to lose understanding. I guess that isn't saying much as I grew up outside India. Capturing the drone video with music is inspiring, and I am glad you have included that as many other motorcyclists have such as the original Charly Sinewan to the newer ItchyBoots.

my reading of Zeme naga history has led to your video. the story of Shemkor village, literally translated in Zeme Naga as 'Nchaikui' meaning 'salt well' has a familiar story to all the zeme nagas... the story has it that the Dimasa maiden falls in love with the guard of the salt well ( appointed by the Dimasa king) who was Zeme Naga and she got married with him. Hence Nchaikuime (as we called them) are descendants of both Zeme and Dimasa. This indicated that both Zeme and Dimasa had maintained a good relationship with each other down the history. the villagers could speak both zeme and dimasa fluently as i heard it said.
@jiafe7
@jiafe7 Жыл бұрын
Maybe this story is like that because in those days zeme and Dima people were kinda fluid or seen as one or same community, identity such as the "we people". In later ages, this fluidity became more defined some started identifying as dimasa, some started identifying as zeme. Such as clans like Daulaguphu = Newme, Hojai = inkaume, Kaume, kemprai = kaume, phonglo = Riame, langthasa = pame and in other tribes and so on... Thaosen also is there in angami and zeme and karbi. Surely it can be said majority of large section of zeme people were ancestrally dimasa and again majority of dimasa today were ancestrally "zeme people" and vice versa
