I worked in Upper Assam in the late 80s and early 90s. I am regretting that I didn't have a chance to visit Karbi Anglong in those days.

Assam is constituted with plains, hills (different types), lots of rivers including Brahmaputra (the only male river and longest river in India by volume), biggest and smallest river islands, even highly educated tribes, biggest river bridge over Brahmaputra, different national parks including Kaziranga, Manash , Pabitara, Dibru chai khoa, famous temples like Kamakhya, Umananda, Balaji , Shivadoul, Haygrib Madhav, Barpeta Kirtan ghar, different Satras in Majuli and other places, Poa Mecca, attracted culture different religions, hospitality etc etc. Best time to visit is October to March
