Hey everyone, thanks for watching! I realized after publishing there's a minor mistake in the video, so comment it if you catch it Otherwise, if you're new, glad you found the video! If you enjoyed it, leaving a like and subscribing would mean a lot (and even sharing it with others who might like it). I'll be back in a few with a new video, see you then--

I’m assuming it’s the 69 RBIs? Lol

Prime Nomar was many levels above a prime jeter. Look at how many more extra base hits he had compared to Jeter during their prime years. On top of that he was even a better contact hitter.

This is why I’m surprised how quickly people have forgotten about Nomar-he really truly was better than Jeter in all aspects

But it was self admitted steroids that helped him. His downturn was so dramatic that it was obvious what his edge was. If everyone is going to rip the rest of the steroid era, you can’t leave this ego maniac out.

@@randalladams2448 Huh? His downfall coincided perfectly with his nagging injuries. He’s also very humble and kind. Not an ego maniac by any stretch.

Jeter batted over .300 in 6 World Series during that prime. What did Nomar bat?

I think Nomar used steroids; I realize he didn’t test positive and didn’t testify before congress, but there is so much that happened to him that happened to other steroid users. He had some insane peak years, but he never had a better career than Jeter. Jeter had one of his best defensive & offensive seasons at age 38. Jeter was much more consistent & part of what makes you great is availability Jeter just had longevity on his side. Also, the Sox were a playoff team when Nomar was good, so it's not like the teams he was on was awful.

When you see careers like Nomar’s it makes you appreciate how hard it is and how rare it is for guys to put up those massive hall of fame careers. Nomar had just as much talent as any of them but talent alone will not get you there. He was definitely an easy player to root for and it was so fun when he was healthy. He definitely had some massive moments.

He was waaaay better than Jeter! And I say this as a Brewers fan with no stake in the rivalry.

Crazy how Jeter’s the only one in the HOF out of the three, considering he was pretty easily the worst

@@WhatHappenedtoBaseball jeter is lucky he was on a great team didn’t deal with injuries etc and is overrated by media and just in general I mean not only did he make it but he made it almost at 100 percent lol

I’m a Yankee fan, I still like Nomar, he was better than Derek from 1997-2003

I’m really happy I made it through 40+ comments without some idiot mentioning roids because a 28 year old professional athlete had a halfway decent body. Of course I’d kill for that now (it’s a dad bod for me) but Jarren Duran is at least twice as cut.

The END OF Nomar Garciaparra was at the Yankee game when he sat out not playing for some really minor injury while playing their arch Rivals Yankees in the Bronx. A Foul ball by a Red Sox player hits it into the stands near 3rd base and Jeter after it and goes flying into the stands. he makes the play and comes back out to the field bloody face cut up. and every Red Sox player looked over at Nomar. NOW THATS A SHORT STOP!! He was gone shortly after this.

Have you ever seen the Sports Illustrated of the shirtless SS’s?? With Jeter and Nomar and like 3-4 others? It’s crazy!! Crazy they even took the picture and crazy Sports Illustrated would even want a picture like that for their magazine.

I wish that Nomar is in the Hall, but I didn’t see most of Prime Nomar, but I’m glad that he did get a World Series ring, even though he was traded to the Cubs. Now I wished that Nomar could return to Boston as a media guy, and I wished he has a Card in MLB The Show

I can't even imagine how awful Nomar felt after the end of the 2004 world series. To be removed from the team that went on to such greatness must have been heartbreaking.

I love Nomah and he would’ve been a HOFer easily had injuries never slowed him down. I also agree that he was better than Jeter and I’m a huge Jeter fan. Great video, I just subscribed ✌🏼

That a-rod trade with Boston and texas would have been a huge flop for boston. Lester, Nomar, and Manny gone in exchange for A-Rod? Boston still may have been looking to reverse the curse now if that happened.
