If NOMAH stayed healthy, he would’ve been a Hall of Famer no doubt in my mind. That three homer two grand slam game he had against the Mariners in 99 is still one of the greatest games by a player ever.

Great video. Nomar was an absolute monster at the plate when he was healthy. What doomed him was that wrist injury he got in 2000 after being HBP on his wrist. That injury never truly went away. Even though he was able to get back to producing for several years after, it zapped him of some of his power and kept being aggravated. I think all baseball fans (and Red Sox fans in particular) got robbed of seeing one of the best hitters of all time thanks to that one injury.

I watched it he is 1000% correct never had same hand speed he noticeable change his approach an swing after this.... he still was a above average batt which is truly incredible... but before that only aqulinea lopes an God could get him out. He once hit a hr on a slider that was clearer going to hit him. Best hands I've ever seen quicker inside on fastball then Tony Manny An maybe even Jim Rice.. teddy ballgame may be only other person to have that kinda plate coverage an power

I got season tickets 2010 Rockies. Tulo had an awesome stretch that season, Cargo, and Uboldo!

Keep uploading and grinding. Seems that KZbin is tossing you into the algorithm more, now. Good stuff. Glad your channel was dropped in front of me.

Is this a joke? I’m a Yankee fan. Saw every second of Nomar’s career. The man is a baseball legend. Even if history won’t remember. The fans will never forget. Nomar is an icon.

In my opinion Nomar from 1997-2003 was very impressive in the six seasons he was healthy before his second injury (which in my opinion ended his prime). He’s essentially a peak player without longevity. Similar things could be said about Tulowitski. In both cases, they should be considered players who could have been consensus Hall of Famers without injuries, and in my opinion deserve to make the ballot and get 5% at least once.

there is nothing tragic about professional athletes who have received a hundred million dollars who got or who gets hurt. players not winning champioships isnt possible or capable of being tragic

If both are healthy give me Nomar. Easily a top 10 pure hitter I’ve ever seen in his prime.

Would’ve been nice to have the healthy 97-03 version of Nomar for the Cubs in his 2 year stint. Add a healthy 03 version Prior and Wood and 04-06 would’ve been less traumatic.

Tulo, especially with the DH and looking back he should have moved to 1st/3rd base as early as 2013 - 2014, so he would at least to offset the injury concerns. However especially when he got slower speed wise, I would have preferred if he had been DH'ing instead. But it's all speculation
