Northwestern California University School of Law is accredited by the California bar but not the ABA. You don't need to take the baby bar after the first year if you have a bachelors degree.

I think it can be risky. Many of these schools have low bar passage rates. Plus the California bar is by far the hardest bar exam to take. It would be a shame to have a 50% chance of passing the bar after spending thousands of dollars. That said I think one that is bar focused on the bar such as Cal Northern would probably be pretty good as the passage rates are high and a Barbri subscription is built into the program (bar exam study resources that normally cost a lot).

California is one of a few states that have non-ABA schools. There aren't many, but some - off the top of my head, Alabama and Tennessee.

Kim k doesnt have a four year degree so regardless even if she went to non aba school she still needs to take baby bar cause she dnt have a college degree. So yes she needs to take baby bar whether she goes to aba or non aba it doesnt matter. Also you can work under federal govt not state if you live in another state and went to non aba school in california

Hey guys - can you expand this discussion for an older student with lots of independent life accomplishment but did not finish a full 4-year degree? I feel I need a law degree for ancillary independent practice.

If you aren’t going to big law, or looking for a prestigious company there’s nothing wrong with it. There are ABA law school kids who skirt by with a 2.0 GPA.. a lawyer is a lawyer is a lawyer, everyone knows big law kids quit after 1-4 years.

by the way Kim Kardashian finally passed the baby bar after 3 or 4 tries... she past it this year I believe... or maybe back in October 2021 BB? However, she did finally pass it. Like the gentleman in the video was saying... she does not have to worry about finances because she is already rich!

If your school is accredited by Cali bar and you have more than an associate degree, you don't need to sit for baby Bar exam.

Also another thing that I have to admit.... This girl is smart and made a better decision to go off to an ABA school because the law profession is very classist/elitist meaning that it matters where you went to school and graduated from and the rank of your class because the top/big law firms and other investment/corporate firms hire and care about where you went to law school. You can't do nothing with a Non-ABA law degree unless you plan on opening up your own law firm or work in a family/friends law firms. Your career aspects and choices are limited....!!! you can't get into government jobs, top/big law or corporate jobs with a Non-ABA law degree!
