How are things going?
@Manolo_Zion3796 ай бұрын
@@nataliaahn8119 Going good, Thank God. I am actually learning the law, the online program of NWCU is top notch, a lot of great resources, and the price can not be beat. I went to an ABA law school for 1L 7 years back so I am able to compare an ABA program and the Online NWCU only program and I have come to the conclusion that NWCU easily comprares to that of an ABA program. Only that NWCU allows you to digest the info at a nice pace because it is a 4 year program. If you have outside responsibilities, like work and/or family, then I can not recommend enough.

if you enroll to NWCU without an AA/AS or BA/BS degree and come in with just CLEP exam scores, you will be considered a "special 1L student" and upon completion of your first year you will be required to take the baby bar test. If you pass the baby bar, then you get to continue with your remaining years left in law school.

Many thanks for sharing your 1L experiences. I was recently accepted for studies at NWCU. While waiting through the enrollment process, I've ordered my 1L books except the Prosser & Wade Torts. Any recommendations for what I can begin doing or studying before classes start? I've heard a lot about flashcards; but of course I don't know what definitions, etc to study. Any further help or hints is greately appreciated. I'm also wondering how old of an edition of Black's Law Dicitionary should I buy? ...continued success on your legal career journey. Blessings.
@MacyySueeАй бұрын
Congratulations! I wouldn't buy too old of an edition but anything in the last few years for that one should suffice. I highly recommend just enjoying your free time now before life starts to get crazy, but if you are eager to get started, then I would just spend some time getting organized. If you have the extra time it's always nice to do a deep clean of your house and prep some freezer meals too so you are not as stressed when you start to get busy! Best of luck to you!

Hi Macy, I know this may be a bit of a ridiculous question, but do you think it makes a difference if I make flash cards that are typed out rather than writing them out?
@MacyySuee5 ай бұрын
Personally I prefer to handwrite my flashcards because it helps with retention, but if you think it is too much time to do that, typing would be okay too!

Are the classes scheduled for all 12 months of the year or are there breaks? Any down time?
@MacyySuee2 жыл бұрын
They’re scheduled for 52 weeks. You could complete it in 48 weeks though. There aren’t any scheduled breaks but personally I think you have enough time to complete everything with your own couple of breaks throughout.

Hi Macy, how critical is it to memorize the 380 definitions? Is there ever a time these will need to be recalled from memory? Perhaps the final? Thank you for your videos. They are outstanding.
@MacyySuee Жыл бұрын
There’s a handful that you don’t need to memorize but are just useful to have some kind of knowledge on, however you will need to memorize the majority of them. Some get easier as you go along and start to build upon one another so you likely won’t even realized you’ve memorized them. I find it helpful to work on 10-15 definitions for every lecture you watch in a series and these usually go hand in hand and will help you with memorizing and learning which are the most important

I am thinking of going to law school and doing it online at Northwestern CA School of Law. I noticed in your video that you are going to do things differently so you could take a 2 week break during summer and also how you will try to finish at the end of the 11th month instead of the end of your 12th month. Does that mean you could work ahead and finish between 2 weeks to one month earlier each year?
@MacyySuee Жыл бұрын
Yes if you work hard enough you can finish anytime in the last 30 days of the school year!

@MacyySuee2 жыл бұрын
No. I started out doing it and thought I would give it a go again this year but I don’t think it’s reasonable or necessary to read it cover to cover. Read the cases you have to brief and skim the rest.
