The main character is actually very old. He just looks like that because he isn't exactly Human and therefore doesn’t age like one. Actually all of the sins, except one don't really age normally, so you can't really tell their age by appearance at all.

Without going into huge Spoiler territory, the Sins are a mishmash of different races, with each of them having their different quirks. The main character is well as someone else explained isn't exactly human. But despite that the anime isn't purely romance. It has a fair share of action to it.

Sure You should definitely give this anime a try. The animation did fell off after season 2 but it improved again after season 4! The storyline is worth it!

The idea of the story is really good, it's a shame that the author couldn't follow through with it. Having the 7 deadly sins as "heroes" and them having this defect as their personality. It was an excellent idea. But they wanted to drag it out and put so much stuff into the story that the author got lost in the middle.

Not really, i never saw it as a pedo bait during my whole time watching it. And i suppose you are refering to ban and elaine. Because he is tall and she is short?. I dont want you to feel insulted but have you seen real women? My grandma is the same height as elaine and ive met other woman with the same height. One of my friends married to a woman older than him and she is that same height as elaine while he is tall, They look funny together, but is nothing out of the ordinary. The winner for the bait anime would be Mushoku tensei. I stopped watching it because of this.

Unfortunately the story does end up taking a nose dive during the later seasons due to the author not knowing what to do not to mention anything past season 2 animation wise is disgustingly bad (seven deadly frames) very very unfortunate
