There's a timeless feeling to these videos. In the sense that so many other topics change as the years progress (as new information is discovered and old information found to be out dated). Kind of how when you say someone has put your book down for a year or more and finds their way back to it, quickly finding they can continue as if they never put it down.

Yes, expectation appears as a thought. Paradox .... waiting for what is already here! This sense of self as a subject had already disappeared and apparently there is a wait for it to happen again ,in such a way that no one is there anymore as a felt central point. Everything was just what it was, nothing more. This is how the story of thought appears right now Actually there is no search, only thoughts that appear as a searching story🙃 Complicated ....... but watching your wonderful videos still happens ..... no idea why .... just like that😊

Yes the initial insight of no-self is a big relief. The center sense and sky remaining struggle dissolves completely with equanimity and clear non-dual insights

i'm struggling with the idea (i know... a thought!) that checking in with the senses doesn't involve thought; don't the senses still comprise or assemble representations, or some kind of mental image, and therefore a thought of some sort? (I know it puts me squarely down the "delusion path" but it's what's arising, alas).

I would say that is not accurate. There can be speech and also thought without suffering. It is the identification with thought/concept and ultimately with form that causes suffering.

At least you provide logical arguments, most non dual preacher just says stuff like "all is nothing, believe me" If God, the spirit, the beyond existed, you would have a physical sense to communicate with it. If the "I" existed, you would not seek something else in all sorts of quests. If the "I" existed, the suffering of the body would not touch you.

I try to give varied appraoches and a mixture of practical advice and direct pointing, both of which are helpful in different ways. Different expressions can be helpful at different times in this process, and different people resonate with different approaches as well. Thanks for your comment.

I'm on p181 of Awake 😁🙏Is it possible that unconsciously I'm maintaining an uncomfortable lifestyle (homelessness and poverty) in order to keep searching? For the life of me I can't seem to get motivated to get a job and when I do, I hate it and quit or get fired. It doesn't seem like it's in my power to get and stay employed. So I suffer the results of my actions but maybe this is a blessing in disguise if it leads to liberation? I'm also worried about creating comfort (maybe afraid) as it might prevent me from pursuing Self realisation?

In the grand scene perhaps, but I’m always more inclined to tell people to do inquiry work into motivations, fears etc as that may be the key, both fur awakening and for getting more insight into yourself. If there is too much life instability and it is based on unaddressed emotional blockages, it my delay awakening rather than facilitate it. With that said there are many paths and I can’t tell any specific individual what theirs is. That’s part of the process, learning to trust one’s intuition.

I have a doubt.... Does the seeking energy continues to flow even after liberation? And does the apparently person simply loose the identification with the seeking energy ? Or the seek energy just stops ? Please, what exactly happens to the Seeking Energy after Liberation? 😂
